if you purchase/exchange technologies with other factions in midgame (f.i. extra hull maximization/capacity/cheaper parts) this has an effect on your already build ships as well (all suddenly have extra hull points left??, and I'm sure they are not all damaged for the exact same amount!) I think this is working as intended. you got a technology that boosts the max HP of your ships, but
It's perfectly stable here..with graphic options on high, and without the trails since hat hasn't been solved yet. Only had one small crash in over 500 turns. Also seems the speed has improved a lot in late game turns
Not sure if all of them are bugs, but they are sometimes very strange: - In the fleet management display on the main map suddenly data about shiphealth and ship available moves is gone. Also that of an opponent which causes problems when plotting attack vectors - In regard to this, it looks like if you purchase/exchange technologies with other factions in midgame (f.i. extra hull maximization/capacity/cheaper parts) this has an effect on your already build ships as well (
I do hope this will be adressed before release, or in an update coming soon; but there are some serious flaws in diplomacy especially late game. - There is mention of assimilation treaties [research majesty], however it is not an option anywhere on the diplomacy screen (or maybe that is, because you first have to have other treaties like non agression pacts before it becomes an option?!) Hell I can't even suggest an Alliance!! Even when it is one of the victory paths desig
Way deep in the game the power rankings and military rankings still drop to 0 when you reach 5000 points. Normally I wouldn't be bothered by numbers, but in this case it has some serious consequences for gameplay: - Suddenly weak opponents think your military is 0 and declare war, and are reluctant to negotiate treaties - Also AI players drop to 0 so they start killing another while their military numbers are inaccurate
Avatar, you are correct. I have no idea what is being uploaded or not. I am not playing till we get a new version. I am worried that I will break the existing game and figure its only a few days to Gold.
I resumed my save game, and didn't have any problem. Also I have to say, it looks very stable at the moment! I frequently press the windows key to check other things, and the game keeps running; no cr
Another update when I started the game today (still version 0.97) but no more opt-in it seems, graphic options resetted. Tbh, it's confusing right now what has changed, and which bugs have been solved. Is it not possible to simply give new additions/alterations a different color?
That's something I noticed too. I mentioned it in the support forum as well
Something strange I saw when planning my tactical battles and intercept course. Suddenly range of my fleets and enemy fleets doesn't show up in the tooltips. any one else seen the same thing?
Seems to be working for me as well, been able to view a lot of battles after each other without hanging, after disabling the trails!
Wow...that is odd.... Indeed I turned off trails, and have since then viewed 5 battles in a row, without any problems!
Same here.... I can see one battle, but when I try to look at a second one, it hangs and I have to manually end it in the task manager. I save it at this moment just before the battle, and when I open the savegame I can enjoy that battle after restarting. But then it will hangup on another one. Really frustrating when you have several battles in one turn, and you want to look at all of them to see how your ships behave (weak/strong points analysis). Really hope
Just MP, or more?
So: the problems with the battle viewer have not been solved yet. But this time, I didn't get a no screen and the game freezing. Instead it showed; waiting for other player, and then a planet management screen appeared?!
The amount it takes to purchase ships from the shipyard doesn't change although there have been production resources spend. It takes as much money to purchase it on adding it to the que as it does when almost finished in 2 turns f.e.
Sigh.... Maybe I should stop playing these crazy sized maps, until the full release :-P Ok ok... I will start a new game ;-)
PS Maybe this helps as well, error message I had when trying to view a battle against a Drenghin ship and the battle screen wouldn't load so I had to kill the game in the taskmanager.
Quoting AvatarRob, reply 8 If 4 Gb is the minimum spec, you should be able to play all map levels ( I played on excessive myself), if that's not possible it should be mentioned as well. ... You wouldn't expect Minimu
Yesterday I had a battle hangup problem (tried watching several battles in the same turn, first worked fine, but the second one didn't come up). But that is known problem. However, I was forced to kill the game in the task manager and to my surprise I saw that the game used over 5 Gb of RAM at that moment (have 8 myself)?? If 4 Gb is the minimum spec, you should be able to play all map levels ( I played on excessive myself), if that's not possible it should be m
I know they changed this in beta 6 because it was way to strong in beta 5, so ok. In the two games I started and played in beta 6 I came upon the opposite. Now I understand that a planet will not flip immediately at a 1.2 x influence, that's fine by me. It will mostly begin to take some serious pressure at over 2.0 x influence. But I have experienced two situations now which are really strange. In game 1 with the Thalan, in game two with a planet owned by the Altarian
Turn 431: When invading all I am able to select is convential warfare. Although I researched: information warfare/ Soldiering/ and even traded space marines my soldiering skills remain 0% Customised race / terran tech tree
I have played a lot of 4x games over the years including civs, moo2, endless legend, sins. I have not yet played multiplayer gciv3. My first gciv experience. gciv3 beta 5 feedback make a new top level tab that includes a breakdown on overall revenue/expenses trade routes how many do i have how much are they earning how can i cancel one to make a higher earning one
Have that same problem playing a custom race: don't know the exact time or turn. But suddenly my military power goes from high up to 0. It's annoying, but what I really wonder if this is a stat that also counts towards my enemies declaring war on me? Do they think my military is suddenly 0 as well, and they can get away with an easy walk-over?
