Yes, very well done Piers. It reminds me I should really try and wrap up that promised pseudo-D&D session... sorry for taking so long. Life have been hectic. I haven't even found the time to play another GalCiv game in weeks...
Harel Eilam
Let's never, ever, ever mention MOO3 ground combat again. In my eyes I see infinite spreadsheets... mommy! No! Don't make me fill another spreadsheet! AHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (runs away)
Not even a middle name? Don't you trust us?
Quack, even I don't trust us, and I'm part of us!
Looking at Harel, I actually think he's missing two, wouldn't you say?
If hugo weaving can cross-dress, I don't see why I can't. [sulk] You seem to be leaving two lives, Mr. Wombat. In one you're a succesful leader of the special forces empire, one of the most promising empires in the galaxy. In the other you are teasing an annoyed Israeli. One of this lives... has a future. The other does not.
I'm sorry, I'm the president of the well hung and I do not approve of all you lot barging inside. [grin]
What's the big deal about mullets? Now, a flamingo... And congrats My Iron Paw! Happy birthday to the toddler! [Message Edited]
Piers, in short - KKD. That's me. Think Arnold in True Lies. [evil grin] Now for the next project... I've been thinking, as I've told you, about writing a series of amusing RPG-like adventure with you guys. But I think it will be better if you guys draw in you're own preferred professions - ie, Paladin, Monk, Rogue, etc. Each profession can only be used once, so be quick :-) After you pick a profession, distort it somewhat amusingly. Don't worry, I'm going to add even more base
Ezekiel, be nice to the moo3 moderators. They are working very hard. Who pissed you off? Leo? Chad? Constantine? Cory? Crazy band of people they were... gee weez, I'm glad I got out of there alive.
ry Harel - completely unintentional!! I'll mark you down for the next one!
LOL Thanks. Yes, I have been somewhat away as of late. I don't know why - I'm not really doing anything. I can lounge around. It's one of those times, you see. Well, all will be well soon enough, I hope.
Media journalist and game designer.
How about the Special Forces Tavern?
How about Barad-dur? P.S - how come I wasn't on the bodyguard story? I feel left out... [sad] [Message Edited]
Pontius, one problem with your scenarios. Israelies really don't sleep. And yes, it does mean I saw what you did on the night of the 27th. God will make you blind, you know. Since I'm an atheist, the solution is that I'll probably just rip out your eyes. Either that or I'll make you watch Matrix Revolutions at a loop until your retinue will burn off.
Congrats Wombie... and Pontius - I don't celebrate thanksgiving, so watch it. [cackles]
There's nothing quite like an onslaught of invective and personal insults to prove that one opinion is indeed the Only Truth and all others are heresy. Praise Ghu, I have seen the light.
Arrr... yeah. I might have been too forceful. Sorry about that, Sirian absloute comment kinda ticked me off. No offense. Just re-read everything I've said as thought as it was written down by a rational, calm human (an oyxmoron, but never mind).
If you're going to disagree with someone, at least have half an argument to back it up with... talk about deficient...?
I feel sorry that you don't see the argumenet here. I assure you, it's quite full. You're disregard to homeworld and warcraft 3 strategy only shows your ignorance. From a designer point of view balancing units statistics in an RTS is just an ardous task as fine-tweaking an economical system in a turn-based strategy game. Strategy does not come o
Laying of hands, ah? I hear another "tales of the agent" coming, this time with a D&D spoof theme... whahahahaha! [goes to work]
In short, no, it's not really possible. Has it ever been done? No. Not ever. Strategy games either seem to have strategy or eye candy, but not both.
I wish you'd stop making bold comments that have no ties to real life, Sirian. Just like the fundementalist arguement. There has been MANY games that combined graphics with strategy. Homeworld and Warcraft III are good examples. If you want to take the arguement that you were refering to turn-based stratgy game then it's stil
The buggers had better take notice...or else.
Oh, do go on. I want to hear all the details :-)
Would that be a 3 normal, 4 normal, or 5 normal?
You scare me. Mommy!
WWE Smackdown??
Two cents for the antractic bird!
Be patient...we're about to launch Operation Jedi Smackdown...
Bring on the pain, or shut your mouth? [two cents for the first person who gets the reference] LOL About the wookie porn... I won't even go there. Are you Toto Jackson by anychance?
Don't worry, I think Quack "liberated" them before we started the fire going.
Just make sure you've saved the special issue with Ganita. I'll be devestated if you didn't... and when I'm devestated I devestate. LOL
[wavelet] Hey all. I'm BBBAAACCCKKK... it's been... productive. I'll tell you more in our special place (doesn't that just make you feel all warm and fuzzy?) later, right now I need to relax and sleep for a bit...
Good luck, Harel - stop by the Forums if you get a chance. We'll keep a spot of tea and a few reams of forms ready for you!
Frankly, I don't even want to be NEAR an internet terminal. I'll have three days to relax and have a short vacation in Lyon after the event, and I'm going to CHERISH it. But those forms sounds good...
