Thanks. Yes, I have been somewhat away as of late. I don't know why - I'm not really doing anything. I can lounge around. It's one of those times, you see. Well, all will be well soon enough, I hope.

Blackmatter -

Wombat had sent you a email note that he was going to forward on to us. But participating in our forum is a good way to get an invite.

We haven't really had an experience where a new player has wanted to join us. We are looking for players who contribute to the forums, particularly stories. Playing the game and submitting them to the metaverse is also a good thing. ;)

We aren't looking at getting really large, if you notice we are one of the few large empires that doesn't recruit publically. Since you are new, we'd like to get to know you a little better.

If you didn't get Wombat's note, why don't you drop him another line?

BTW: Most of the Special Forces live in Australia, so they don't start getting online until late afternoon Eastern time.

Regards,
Cypher

I'm sorry I have to step in here. I haven't kept up with the thread, but I just have to point out the fact that most of you elite commandos are either 'very good' or 'chaotic good' and has a 'very evil' type that I am I find humor in a seemingly warrior type society, such as yourself, is consisted of more good than evil people.

DLA-

We're a small collection of action heroes than a society of warriors. Don't your kids have the Cypher Pax Dropbear Aeriel Assault Action Figure? Or the Ginata Mistress of Disguise Holovid, or the Superspy Jaws Plushie? Or even the Hurley's Wine Cellar Secret Command Center Playset? How about Pier's Brewing Kit for Kiddies? Or Samuri's Bens Nerf Katana? ...Jeff's Desilvia's Jetpack and Water Cannon?

I'm going to file a complaint to Wombat -- our marketing and branding committees just aren't doing a good job. We'd didn't have these types of licensing problems when were we part of GROSS.

And that movie, 'Quack the Psychic Duck' was absolutely awful.... next thing you know MM7 is gonna wanna cast the Governors of California as Killa in Koalinator 4..... and we all know what a flop 3 was! Maybe we can cast Black Smoke and Monkson in a Blues Brothers remake..

The only item that's selling well - is the Tickle Me Killa Koala Doll (but we can't tell Killa about that one... you know how he gets...)

Anyway, we're the good guys -- and if you don't agree-- we'll send Harel after you.

The POSSE / GROSS split worked out when for the GROSS. The Pontius the Space Pirate, Gerakken the Spymaster, and EBZ the Altarian Devil action figures and playsets are selling very well - but we don't get revenues. It's hard to find them in the holiday rush...

Cheers,

Cypher

I find humor in the fact that these evil wannabes actually are a bunch of touchy feely goody goodies.

"OH PLEASE DEVS MAKE HAIRY THE TACO A VETEREN.. OH PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP....."

haha, we still dwelling on that Pontius? I thought we past that. Anyways I was just making a comment. You know, opening to see if I could turn this heros into the evil villians. Obviously these heros have more morals and ethics than the catholic church (just to let everyone know I am catholic myself)

If you would pay attention to the hidden meaning: what a better way to get our agenda to the top than having us slowly inflitrate the rankings of the metaverse. And besides I wasn't pushing for that anyways, I was pushing for myself.

HEHE. Your last marketing agreement with G.R.O.S.S. goes well. We are offering a 2 for 1 with the "Chua Pet" Well it's not really 2 for 1 since we doubled the price of each for the promotion. :)

The Wombat with the Iron Claw grip just doesn't match the pure funnery of the Pontius with the swashbuckling action. And the real Cutlass you get with it is a can't miss. The kid tormenting his sister by slicing up her teddy bears with it followed by the girl slicing her brother's action figures was marketing Genius!!!! Every kid has to have one. And we all know what a pushover parents are these days.

Yes, it has been known to happen occasionally. Obviously not that often, though.

Haha, yeah. But I did!!!

Piers, in short - KKD. That's me. Think Arnold in True Lies. [evil grin]

Now for the next project... I've been thinking, as I've told you, about writing a series of amusing RPG-like adventure with you guys. But I think it will be better if you guys draw in you're own preferred professions - ie, Paladin, Monk, Rogue, etc. Each profession can only be used once, so be quick :-)

After you pick a profession, distort it somewhat amusingly. Don't worry, I'm going to add even more based on my own amusement :-)

For example: I'm the Paladin. I'm an atheist and I believe very strongly in myself, which means I have no moral code to adhere to but I can lay on hands (especially on Ginata) as a perk.

Go for it :-)

Oh, the basic story right now is that Sauron is asking us to go and stop Frodo from tossing the ring into the Mountain of Doom. Since it will destroy our preferred resort, we are willing to launch our quest...

OK Harel - I'll bite. Meet Friar Wombat, Cleric of Beelzebub and the Holy Tavern of Eternal Intoxication. Think Friar Tuck - with an attitude. A man of the cloth (well, several cloths, actually) who administers justice with a swipe of the Iron Paw and a whispered curse under his breath. Do with him what you will....

Well, if we already have a paladin and a cleric...how about a monk? Combat skills and no armor tie in well with the samurai idea.

Samurai Ben is the founder of the Order of the Monks of the Keen Katana. Unlike those singing Catholics and contemplative Buddhists, Monks of the Keen Katana realize that true enlightenment only arrives when you are alive and your enemies are dead, or at least maimed and incapacitated. Furthering these goals requires spiritual study to master one's environment through combat skills. When inner peace and calm cannot be achieved through strength of will alone, alcohol may also be used.

There's always room for a wandering rogue in the party.. As lethal as anyone with a weapon usually a thin bladed rapier, but usually avoids conflict with a quick wit and charm, exactly the same tools that normally gets him into those sort of conflicts in the first place.

His favourite place is in the tavern with a listening ear propped up against the bar, ale in one hand trying to get to know the serving maids a little better.

Quack is a dual-class mage/thief. Once a fearsome and brazen pirate, he is now a duck of the shadows. A common pastime is sneaking around a bar and stealing unguarded drinks. He likes pretending to be a stuffed duck statue on the mantlepiece and seeing things he shouldn't see. Of course, he still remembers how to use a blade, and can peck people to death.

He's also working on his psychic powers - he can't summon demons or anything, but he's got a few party tricks up his sleeve. "Pick a number, any number"...
