yes we have electricity, but if the plant workers have had a particulary hard night on the booze then expect to be using candles the next day ;)

wait make that a 300, damn standardization :)
Yep lets skew the scores to our advantage :p Anyway my lone 700 has been added to the mix. Not much but it helps, though I did take it easy on the Yor ;)
The support network sounds good. But I agree with Vorlin that there should be a difference in cost between very small and very large starbases. Another idea I'd like to throw in involves trade. Just as a trade module on a SB can increase income from a trade route you could also have the trade route decrease the maintenance of the SB (ie the trade modules have a 2 way effect). This would also have the effect of having sectors with heavy trade also being very prosperous as an indirect res
domination? only on the surf beaches ;)
btw nice strats guys Cataleptic's resembles my own a bit. Chris's looks very interesting too, I'll definatly be trying that one out.
I've signed up, but I still haven't submitted any scores yet... soon ;) I think ANZAC is a great idea, though I don't think there'd be anyone alive today who would recognise that symbol :) I reckon Southern Cross looks like the one to go with unless there’s a kiwi revolt (not sure if it has any significance for them)
zzslayer don't take it back just yet, I'm sure tech support will sort you out if there is a problem with your key.
I mean it should be in capitals with dashes. mine is slightly different: xx-111111-xx1-x1xx1x1111 Though I got my copy direct from stardock, so the retail version might have a different format
stardock, they are the developers. I'll try to find the addy
XX-XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXXXXXX is the format it should be in (in capitals)
Thats a bit more serious than a bug. Contact tech support, they should sort you out pretty quick.
oh yeah, I just realised you could put the money straight into tech, though a planet quality option would still be very cool :)
First off, very much like the idea of logistic costs and techs. However this will obviously make the constructors or nothing issue a lot more of a problem (which I think someone mentioned previously). I've heard people say that additonal money could be simply added to your taxes, the problem is you may end up with far too much money. Sure you can lower taxes to boost population but what happens when you want to start the military machine rolling again. One sollution c
yep sounds good, though I might have to wait till I play a few more games first ;)
yeah I know the tax rate affects morale. I'll try and put it another way. Which is better: High population, low tax, morale 55 or Low population, high tax, morale 55 Since population growth will level out at morale 55 then is there any point increasing your population by lowering taxes once all your colonies reach morale 55?
My question is when your star systems are filled to the brim with people whats the best tax rate/morale level to have. Are you better off with a high population/low taxes or vice-versa?
I'm starting to get worried, I ordered the CD from Stardock the day the game was released. Still no sign of it yet. Does it really take 2 weeks to arrive in Australia? :notsure:
I'm talking about those who ordered directly through Stardock. I'm still waiting on mine, hopefully not long now.
OK I figured out how to get GalCiv registered (For anyone else who can't figure it out you click in 'Registration Info' at the bottom right of the screen) ~SDC~
I think my SC account is messed up somehow, -When I registered I didn't recieve a confirmation email, could it be because I used a bogus name when I originally registered for the forum?(I used my real name for purchasing) -There's no option for me to download GalCiv or it's updates. -I also recieved 2 separate serial numbers when I bought GalCiv!!?? (I only ordered one unit) Utterly confused!
26 It's a pitty there's no voting option on the forum, would be good to see a GalCiv style demographic thingy :)
Yeah I agree the moderator showed pretty bad form. Though IMO Frogboy making an exit in that arguement might be wise before the gloves really come off :)
I have another question. If a planet already has projects in its build queue and that planet is then assigned a build queue by a governor are those new projects added to the end of the queue or do they replace it?
