There are several other posts laying out other players specific observations of this bug, below are several previous posts of this issue.
I wonder.. have there been any tickets made for any of these bugs by any of the people who posted? Im curious if my theory of people not making tickets and so going unnoticed rings true here. edit: I also would like to point out that in your main post you talked a
Now I know Crusade will change the game play of the game but, most of these issues have been around since pre-launch and not much has been done about them or even been acknowledged.
What I have noticed is that alot of the bug posts on the forums are never made into tickets. A few bugs that I had thought 'came back' and I thought were never fixed were in fact probably not noticed as no ticket was made when I asked some of the thread owners what rep
Anywhere between a couple of weeks to the next three months. You guys realise the game is in development, and that may change until they come out with the game. And that still can be changed with an update. This will probably need some balancing after the game is released.
Im excited for the beta the founders will most likely get. Im hoping our feedback can shape the game into something great, if it even needs ma
There are a few things worth considering that you brought up, thanks for the input. The 8- 2- 2- 2- 2 with extreme planets might be interesting if they have the adaptable trait. I guess ill try them both out a few times and see how it goes :) Thanks again!
Quoting GalCivius, reply 36 Lol But hey, I have watched enough Star Trek to know that you just need to visit the Doc for a bit to completely alter your appearance I'd be alright if we have techs that "simulate" this [e digicons];)[/e] <br /
Im thinking of creating a custom star system with a Class 11 or 12 Water World or normal for the homeworld, a class 4-5 planet (to give max 16 total class) then for flavor I wanted to add 4 additional Class 1 planets. My question is, as with the title, do people think that adding the additional 4 class 1 planets will be op once you start to unlock tech which gives you more tiles? Im trying to debate whether or not it would be better to reduce to stating planets to something like a
One of the latter patches has made it so that pirate bases have a min distance they can spawn in relation to a races home planet as apparently the AI, and even the player I guess, was having trouble early on dealing with them as they would just keep destroying their shipyard or colony ships they had just built. I guess this has had the side effect of pirates not spawning anywhere important that might effect the game. I wonder if instead say after say 25 turns there should be a chan
So the act of producing the colony ship is what auto ups the pop to 3? By chance do you know how much pop Venus has the turn before? Im curious if it is stealing pop from Venus to be able to hit the minimum 3 pop. Also I know ill sound like a broken record, but does it do it with mods off :P? Since you do have Venus as a habitable planet.
AI still get bonuses with 2.0, the same as they did before minus the bonus to planet economy (which is what Brad mentioned they no longer needed).
Oh right, I wrongly took that as they didnt need any bonuses at all. If that is the case then that means generally speaking the higher the difficulty and the more races you have in a game. The chance to get a early wonder before the AI, as with Civ 5/6, is nea
Over all im excited about all the changes and think it will make for a much better experience overall! I do have some thoughts of discussion tho, most of which im sure have already been considered but I thought I would throw them out there. I couldn't figure out what the cause was and my ticket says as such. But since you know of the details it would probably
Wow thats interesting, I thought I had seen the issue somewhere else but couldnt find it. This part is particularly interesting. Its working as intended, each tile has a value which determines how hard it is to transform based on the continent map. On higher class planets all the lower value/easy to transform tiles are taken first by the planet class leaving only harder to terraform tiles which require the better tech. Whether or not this is a good thing is debatable, but its been brought up before and that's basically the extent of the explanation we were given. I'm paraphrasing of course.
Edit: [Ticket ID #VWQ-448-55302] Noone has replied with the same issues but I am going to make a bug report. I have been making ship designs getting ready for the new race builder, and bugs on parts are happening again on different parts. From what I can gather there is something causing the parts to become 'corrupt' on a ship by ship bases. If I start a brand new ship and use the part that is having the issue the parts work fine, but ran
For anyone interested Brad got back to me with a solution to stop the blurring from happening. If you turn off depth of field in the options it removes the issue. It also disables it everywhere else however it seems, at-least so far, that really only noticeably effects the camera in battles. Hope that helps anyone who was curious :)
I have a vague memory of seeing a similar bug in a thread elsewhere but couldn't find it. Does anyone know what is the cause of this? Is it the part itself or is the ship save file corrupt? I havnt tried replaceing the part or anything as to keep the bug intact if I need to submit a ticket. How It looks: http://i.imgur.com/aFr2qra.jpg <img src="http://i.imgur.com/aFr2qra.jpg" alt=""
Worse part about finding a bug right now is that since Crusader is coming soon the bug report will be low priory until it comes out :P Then we will have to submit it again haha. Speaking of which, have you made a ticket for it?
Looks like you pressed (") to quote yourself in a reply instead of the note pad icon for editing :P. They are right next to each other hehe.
Its Mega events that spawn new Anomolies, if they dont trigger.....
Is the the only way they re-spawn? Maybe im remembering from before the mega event patch but they use to re-spawn per turn based on Anomalies frequency settings as well. Tho I guess it dosnt matter since it sounds like Crusader will be changing this up anyways. [quote who="Seilore" reply="4" id="36
I really hope this has been changed in Crusade. Imo all these things should be independent of each other when spawning. As it is now everything seems to override the chances of everything else spawning. If they made them spawn independently of each other then you could get the kind of maps you want based on the settings as opposed to just hoping the settings work out. If they were independent it would also allow for better planet and resource distribution as well as balance. Has there been an
I got a response back for the ticket "I believe this is normal for cinematic mode. Have you watched a battle in cinematic mode? I think the bokeh is on purpose. Please let me know if you have any further questions/concerns." Below is the response I sent back, but I thought I would get others opinions on the Free camera mode in case its just me who sees it as a problem. Likewise I might not be very articulate in my response so I
Unless it changed, you also want to set "Planet Frequency" to abundant. And a higher Star Frequency cant hurt either. If im remembering it correctly what the game does is spawns the star, then adds the class 0 planets based on frequency. At which point it will swap some of those class 0 planets to higher class Habitable planets, followed by swapping some to extreme planets. Therefore if your 'Planet Frequency' is low no matter how high you set your other se
Speaking of anomalies, i have been meaning to bring it up. Is it just me or is the re-spawn rate for anomalies really low now? I remember I use to be able to set them to abundant and even when I nearly got them all by mid game, by late game a large enough amount re spawned frequently enough to justify keeping a few survey ships. Now it seems by mid game I should just decommission all my survey ships as the time between new anomalies is so long that its not worth the effort.
Since crusader is pretty much changing how every weapon will be built/cost, my experience with the current weapons and modules will pretty much be obsolete. But to answer, in my experience I never use the prototype weapons as I dont tend to build many if any ships until I have researched some better weapons. The cost of the resource is better used in a resource building IMO. Ships are updated so frequently that its generally better in both the short and long term to use the resourc
