Thanks! Feedback appreciated. I've had a suggestion that not all city types should be enabled at the same technology, do you have any thoughts on that?
I think its a good idea to do so
Does it mean i researched 72 techs out of 84? And need 84 tech to reach ascension age?
Yes. i have not checked to make sure it is still working but it used to.
love both ideas, one of my first mods was to increase the avg. tile count from 10 to 12. They should be a hub with adj. +'s like a capital and approval. After all, cities are generally hubs for industry,R&D, culture, sports...... I also think production should be better that the sqrt of population (by just a tad)
Fundamentally, the system is broken. During the darker moments, it's tempting to just build a review bot and player bot and just have a 91% positive review score with 14,000 concurrent users. But then there is no way to tell if people really like the game or not.
Froggy, I assume your plugged in with the Steam crew, what do they say is their justification for this? Should we all vote with
Novice at this but looking at the schema i don't think so. There are place holder (buffers) for new citizens but i see none for promotions
Worse, the review score system had its rules changed such that our best players, who bought Lifetime Founders editions don't even get their votes counted
WHAT! Is there any logic to this? Seems unfair
I agree with Forester. Much depends on my game and map size. However probably my favorite is Motovation
my privater does not seem to get a v good ship any more. after some checking i found: OnUnitGenerated ChangeShipToBestPirateShip did this change? if so can someone tell me what it was? IN UnitPromotionsDefs.xml
Go to the Espionage screen and click on your own civ, there you have a list with which of your colonies have spies.
GREAT. did not know this . Thanks you. Still would be nice for a perm notification
Agree on both counts. Needs re-balancing
After several crusade games ( great changes btw) i have noticed everyone is really hamstrung by the Durantium upgrade costs. mid to late game all civs continually have a very short supply despite having many bases mining it
playing on gigantic map and i have 100+ planets. I stumbled across one of them with 6 disabled buildings. No idea how long its been that way. I am sure there was a notification i missed BUT. It would be nice if a persistent notification was posted like ' Spies detected on planet xxx' OR a symbol like the shield for defended planets. Otherwise one has to manually check each planet which is a real pain if you have 100+
biggest neg's are ripe for conquest ans at war with friend. these range from -10 to- 24 . Seem too big as they swam[p all +'s. It would be nice if there was a way to have a smaller 'at war with friend' if they are the one who declare. Is there a cool down entry to increase the number of turns before they can declare again?
hi H. Loved your mod in vanilla. Just installed the crusade update (same time i updated latest 2.14). Couple of questions Playing Gigantic with 18 AI's One by me they all declared war on me by around turn 90. Did you do anything to make AI's more angry at me, or is this just 2.14? Made peace with several races but within ~10 turns (did not count) they declared war on me again. Is there a cool down entry to increase the number of turns before t
Do the opt in patch changes affect a saved game or will it only be for games started after the patch?
xml changes only take effect with new games
Do you need an active spy or more to be stealing techs from someone? Or just be at ultra?
just be at ultra
I have noticed habitual planets are rarely located near my home world. Here is some data from 10 quick starts (numbers are average over the 10) on a 'huge map' Habitual & stars set to abundant planets within 6 tiles 0 planets within 15 tiles 3 planets within first tier colonizer range 7 Had 2 starts where there were only 2 planets within travel range
Horemvore, your a GREAT source of info and very helpful, thanks
this file is not in my steam crusade directory. should it be?
in 2.14 i have seen the "heavily" defended anomalies
Snowflake alert
Can you figure how to make the commander start in back instead of being out front?
I use them all the time but so far only to steal techs. Haven't figured anything else out yet
question for you. What is the attraction for GoG. Never used it. Steam seems to work well.
If I invest in the diplomacy tech then, from what I can tell, all I'm really doing is buying myself some time to fleet up before most if not all the AI's would inevitably declare war on me.
That is basically true but it also opens other doors like alliances
As far as I can tell, in GalCiv 3 there's no AI that will truly want to behave ben
thanks joeball. I did search but it helps if i spell it right[e digicons][/e] . It is in GalCiv3GlobalDefs.XML
