So if you want to do a clean install will MS let you activate Windows 11 if you had a legit Windows 10 install? My Windows 10 activation says activated with a digital key tied to your MS account. Wonder if 11 will say the same.

Can anyone confirm what I have heard that Windows 11 will only allow apps from the Microsoft app store? I have quite a few old programs and games I like to use, be a shame if MS said you can only install apps from the store. If it's true I guess a lot of people can't use Firefox or Chrome on 11.

Game consoles now require an account to play any games. It is what it is. I really don't see any issues. Log in with an account, turn off the stuff you don't need or use, problem solved.

I just linked my Gmail account to Microsoft and created my Microsoft account that way. That was a few years ago. Never been an issue.
I'm just hoping I can make the taskbar black but keep everything else on the light mode. I dislike dark themes.
My system checks out according to the system health app. All go for Windows 11. Bring it on already. Windows 10 is getting boring and stale.

I don't use Windowblinds. I prefer the default look of Windows. So I say bring it, whatever the end design will end up being. As long as my games still work.
So I have Office 2007 installed cuz I bought it way back in the day when I was a student. Still works, even on Windows 10. I made the mistake of allowing Windows to update it, but I don't like Office being updated. Works fine without updates. So I went in and removed as many updates as I could, but there are 4 that refuse to be removed. Please tell me there's an easy way, without reinstalling Windows or Office, to remove the updates?

Well I went down to the store and got a 500GB SSD for the laptop. I'm currently getting 580MB read speeds and 530 write speeds. Windows and apps start up in seconds. Wow this PC has some issues. Sure, it's fast enough, but I can't get all my games to play. Quite sad. It refuses to play Command And Conquer Generals.
