OK I know what you mean and yes slow down is good. What do you think about upgrade government throw techs and or buildings in reference to colony cap and the bonuses includes? Is anything like that possible? It would be more logical and you has not to switch permanently the government just to increased the colony cap.

In reference to the government system i have another idea: What do you think about the possibility to have from the beginning the choice between a government which allows (for example) 12 colonies but has less bonuses or some penalty and a government with 5 but significant more bonuses to the other one? That would chance the whole system (if the whole system follow this idea) and would give much more strategic deepness i think. And what about improvements of a government i alr

Hi, i have a question about influence. Because now i don't understand how it really works. In my last test game the Altarian was my neighbors. Their influence overruns my whole empire after a couple of turns. I could not do anythings against that. No techs. buildings or ideology helps. Where is the joke at this? Many thanks in advance EDIT: I see! And that's great. To play and fight over influence pressure is

Until now all thing which happens in intrigue are just changing values of different mechanics in game for a couple of turns. There was a crises with a space monster what destroyed a planet. Yes the planet was gone but I never saw a space monster. In fact values changed really happens doesn't anything.. But take a look at steam reviews. Mostly positive BUT nearly all good new reviews are from short term players with playtime less than 50 hour. Long ter

You play the game wrong?! Really? ! If they really mean that the super open sandbox "how will you rule your galaxy " 4x game is dead! If you have to follow a couple of rules of playing the game works it isent free playing! :(

Yes that's the same we saw with other words I think. The planet cap of government should be created in references to size of your game or the number of habitable planets. The problem that the first governments perhaps are good but are in use for only a couple of turns will be still there. Also that you can switch between the governments without consequences :(

I know this was discussed many times but I don't remember that the devs something say about that problem. The last statement was they want realize much more galaxy setting options you can choose from... But how should that works if the current one do what they want and not what they should. In the future you need days to find a setting you like before you are able to start a real game....

You can choose the how stars, how many planets over all, how many habitable planets and how many extreme planets. Every point has ( I think) 4 possibilitys. In combination that's a lot! But every combination ( ever on excessive map size) creates one of the two extremes ! Habitable planets goes against zero or you have a unbelievable mass of. No matter what values are in the tables you are not able to say which settings creates which galaxy...

Yes yes there we're values in tables. But you are not able to use a setting where its possible to have a number of habitable planets between zero and a mass of. Every single setting is a try with luck and you get only one of this two extremes no matter what you choose... So for what you have so many choices if the result is ever and ever the same?

Is it possible that the galaxy settings after a new add-on or dlc do something complete different ? For example... Beta 3.0 excessive map standard settings and in every test game there was a mass of habitable planets. Intrigue... Same settings a couple of test games the number of planets goes against zero. I saw the same in the past. A new dlc and the same settings create a complete other galaxy. Another point.. There is no setting difference. No ma

I agree with you thought's. Same here. The idea is very good but in game it becomes useless and complicate. And yes the number of planets in governments should oriented at sice of the map. And another thought is that good types of governments are just very short time useful because you have to change the government with a higher number of planets. By the way it is a little strange that you can jump from government to government without any consequences for th

One thing I saw in my current game is if an empire gift you the rest of their empire because their are going to lose a war I create a commonwealth. The simple way would be to take all the new planets and hundreds of ships in it as you create it! Now! All planets are to far away from each other. So you have to create many commonwealth or take one planet create a commonwealth and gift them after creation all the other planets and ships.... Very complicate :(

Your marketing slogan was " the biggest and complexest 4x game"! To simplify it and in fact you have canceled the complete economic and food management turned this game extremely in a simple grand strategy game. The free play is gone. All empire specific things happens by the way. The only think to do is to react to other empires. Now your own slogan why many player bought this game turned into the untrue! Sorry that's my opinion. Since beta I stand ever and ever b

Yes, the whole economic system is completely to simple for a game like this. And there is absolutely nothing to do to generate much ammouts of money. That's total boring! Same with food... nothing to do or manage to have a lot of it. You need not to build much building to generate food and money so you have a lot of free tiles on the planets... But for what??? Just to push production to build fleets... That's the simple level like stellaris! I guess the d

I play the largest map and that was not was wanted to say. I just don't want that the Ai is the only thing where I have to think about. I want to have something to do in my empire....

40 Replies 584,322 Views

Its a quiet simple mechanic. In my current test game at turn 200 I have the AI is really good. Drengin as my neighbor's are very aggressive in that's a lot of fun. I have 11 planets and two of them have no food tile. Some have 2 and one has 3 tiles for food. I have very much food and its not important to do anything for food. I have more place on my planets as I need at moment and more money than I need at the moment. And exactly that's the problem :( There is no strategy needed

I'm not sure what I should think about 3.0. The complete planet building, farm and money mechanic looks like you try to make the game very easy and much complexity is gone. Now you need not to develop planets in any direction like food or money so every planet has enough place that I can build all I want? Tactic and complexity gone! :( I don't like that idea... Because Gal Civ 3 is the game which lives from complexity... I can't believe that there is a fan who like a very simple game concept

In my opinion it is a little to easy to tax the whole Empire with many different planets with different approval on it. I know that the wheel is no Option but a little difference between the worlds would be great. Perhaps with intervall... For example : Tax planets with an approval from 10 to 30 with x % Tax planets with an approval from 31 to 70 with x % Tax planets with an approval higher than 70 with x % Or something like this....
