I am pretty sure we can mod it our selves, or at least I could from taking various code snippets I could get something close. But it you want it as a in game adjustable option which is beyond me. Hope it gets implemented as there might be a huge research gap on larger maps. DARCA ;- )

IMHO, over thinking this big time. I agree with few of the previous post entirely as its way to complex and hardcore.
What been going on, had internet trouble seeing this forum specifically. :/ I had thought it was over three times now. Lol I want to see my name in the credits soon! ;)
Meta. Look I like the idea and believe the thalan would make a great tall empire. They are not good at using planets and there lore shows they use starbases, plus nearly everyone wants to have population modules for starbases and they could end up doing just that. As for the three suggestion I don't like them, the wonderful suggestions that he thalan be a tall empire was great but ideas one and two are weak or meta.Idea three was what the thalan are already known for and is what makes the
I personally think that is is good that you need to use ships to defend a starbase. They are high-value targets and it should take a little effort to defend them against attack.
yea, they aren't really for fighting or defending in combat directly. I think balancing is difficult to, as it took some months of testing to get it right in the galciv2 community patch. So far I like most of the bonuses that starbases gi
-The green smiley % keeps dropping every turn, and I have no idea how to stop it
Ah! See! That's my point! SEE IT! See what he wrote! That is my point! That's my point! See it! THAT'S MY POINT! Morale is confusing right now and needs more clarity. The noobie proves it. :) Really. The morale system has changed a few times now and is going to change in the future too. so don't feel bad about being los
I see three options a.) bring back the old way but without the wealthy population bonus, and remove alot of the morale bonuses from the tech tree. b.) make it so 8 g&s and 10p=80% approval and not some other odd number. Also would be nice if that meant approval bonuses were 1% for every percent over 50%. c.) I forgot what I was going to say... DARCA ;)
Its cool SD is growing (means I get to play cool stuff) but tech support and patchs for 4, then 8 games will be difficult to manage unless there are enough people. ;) Anywho, can't wait to give you my money and support. ^_^
Cool, can't wait to hear it.
No its all in our heads, the sounds are fine. I have the urge to say the end of turn sound is annoying but there isn't anything really wrong with it. As for the others, they are ok to, I think I can get used to them and appreciate the variety while its new. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Exactly! I liked the old system, I thought it would be saved. None the less this way can be saved too, just needs to have less crazy.
I found setting planets to abundant and the rest to common increases the generation of habitable planets. Maybe because the amount of planets decreases and the odds of habitable planets increases? It worked in galciv2 and in 0.50 Now there just so few planets regardless of what settings I use.
Yup.
Its galciv2 all over again, exactly what we didn't want. No one should be doing math in there head. It would be nice if it was like 12p and 9 g&s makes my approval 75% so its based on percentages. I like the system just not alot right now.
I know that, having picked them, all the Races in the game I'm playing are going to exist and that I should meet them at some point. Therefore it's logical I can't have diplomacy with a Race I have yet to say Howdy to. But it's not logical that although I have yet to met the Drengin, I can see they are part of the UP and that they have 22% influence. If I know that then it makes sense I should know how they have that 2
http://postimg.org/image/yjind5cp7/ac8b6b6f/ From version 0.60: I had fps drops a few seconds after cinematic cut scenes and in the planet screen on turn 4. So I was wondering how much RAM was being used and opened up the task manager...never seen it that high. The screen shot was taken seconds after my frame rate improved so it was likely even higher then. Thanks, I wouldn't say its a second ch
Firstly, when playing as the Yor or any synthetic race goods and services does not make sense at all, maybe just services? I find morale in general is just harder to understand than before, at first glance its as complex as galciv2...and I think that's a true statement. The last build was super flawed and made it way to easy but had something worthy of keeping, that was plain percentages. When my approval was at 69% I saw a easy to understand list of grievances that added up
Ahhh, the post needs a bit of a update on recent and future releases. I think Frogboy called the stages after this build a Gamma, so whats in Gamma 1, 2, 3? DARCA ;- )
Try moving the camera out to the fow and zoom out slowly to were nebula and planets look like icons, the freezing stops when I do that...as long as I don't zoom in. ;)
Seven years ago, my computer at the time blew out half its RAM and began succumbing to the capacitor plague while I was playtesting the new Yor tech tree in Twilight of the Arnor. Yesterday, Stardock releases the Yor for GalCiv 3 and my computer breaks, forcing me to do a full reformat and Windows reinstall. Coincidence? Yeah, probably. Also, the computer is working fine now.
