Well, unofficially, it's been said the Enterprise when 33.6 knots, and an article, http://www.doncio.navy.mil/chips/ArticleDetails.aspx?ID=4373, , states that she had a 35 mph top speed, identical to an Arleigh Burke destroyer.
A couple of comments. Bigger ships in the real world (warships), are usually faster. The fastest ship (not speedboat, but ship ship) in the US Navy is an Aircraft Carrier. In WWI timeframe, Battlecruisers were about tops for speed.
Yeah, U.S.S. Enterprise CV-65 just after the 9/11 attacks. Forget how fast it went, but I remember that it messed up some of its own hull.
You shouldn't need to unzip it again--just make sure you run the copy you unzipped (go to where you unzipped it--any shortcuts you had to run the game will still point at the old copy unless you update those yourself). You can move those files and delete the old ones as you like once you've figured it all out.
Ok. Thanks Kryo!
You don't update anything. The whole final version of the game is in the package from the store downloads page. I suspect the prompt you got when doing it again was just due to extracting it in the same location as you did the first time. You can just run the copy you extracted in the location you extracted it, and toss your old copy.
Ok. Just to be sure I understand. The download was am entire GalCiv II game with the
I found out that it never asked me to replace the old files when I told it to extract the new files from the update's file, but when I opened the game it still says it's v1.0. Am I missing a step? I know when is extracts the files it asks if I want to replace the old file with the new one, not replace the old file with the new file, or "rename file." Any clue what this is?
Ok. I've run into a problem with the install. I unzipped the file but now I'm stuck. Where are the unzipped files and how do I get them into the game?

Nice ships!
Sweet ideas. And DARCA, send that contest to the devs and see if they like it.
Just like the topic says, what will your custom race be like. I really want to make a race that uses techno-organic, sentient starships (like Moya in Farscape) with ships that look smooth, clean, and organic.
Sweet ships Rand! They're award winners in my book.
@Folgra1: I mean when the A.I. uses player made ships. What if the A.I. chooses a Terran ships is made out of 100% Terran parts, and then chooses one that's 100% Yor parts? Is there a filter for the A.I. when it chooses ships ( Like if the first ship chosen is 30%-70% mix of part so the A.I. is limited to those part)?
No one has anything to say?
I've been thinking and I think there's possibly a problem with the A.I. using player made ships. Lets say we're talking about the Yor. The A.I. gets one ship that uses 100% Yor parts but gets a second ship with 10% Yor parts, 90% Torian parts. As you can probably guess, this could look weird as the game goes on. Is there any plan for a sort of filter so the A.I., after choosing its first player made it can only choose ships that have the same distribution of parts( if a ship is ch

Wow. I've been gone awhile and I see all these cool ships! I would like to request Moya from Farscape and my SF1-Raptor ( got my user name from that design ). It's has a hull like an X-wing, one clipped delta wing on the right, and a lump with the missile launcher on the left.

Do you like the Federation's ships from Star Trek? Maybe the Republic/Imperial ships from Star Wars? You may be someone who loves the Galactica from the reimagined Battlestar : Galactica? Serenity maybe? What's your favorite ships style? Personally, my favorites are the Colonials reimagined Battlestar, the Rebel ships from Star Wars, and the Serenity from Firefly ( Why Fox? Why? ).
