It would probably just cause problems. It can work in theory beacuse the "coding" part of DNA is just really 1 of the strands, the second strand is just there to make copying and error preventing etc easier. But adding more moving parts just makes errors that much more likely. It would be more intersting to have more base pairs then to have more helixes. <br

Just wondering how a triple helix or a quadruple helix DNA would affect a creature who DNA is completely composed of either the triple or quadruple helix DNA? I've just had an idea in my head and wanted to know if it worked any differently then double helix DNA.
Design Challenges One of our objectives is for people to have the option to play new "Immense" sized maps where there might be hundreds of empires playing. We have a lot of different ideas on how to make this work (few people are going to want to have to select 130 opponents to play against). We might use Steamworks Workshop to allow players to share their custom made players and once approved have automatically added as addi

Not so much of a special perk after all...
Didn't no that. Can't watch the hour long dev videos though ( limited internet ). Thanks for tellin' me, but I still want to hear some names from non-founders.
I thought it'd be an interesting idea if those who, like me, aren't founders had somewhere to just collect all our star names, and maybe get them noticed by the Devs. Some I've thought of are Dresden and Estrella.

Well Star Wars and Star Trek have there ways around it. In Star Wars there are many near-human races that are directly related to humans, and can inter-breed. I forget how it was in Star Trek, but I want to say it was something along those lines, but, in an evolutionary point of view ( with me being a Christian creationist), there would be a chance of two races that would be able to breed together. But like Gaunathor said, Altarians and Humans can not inter-breed.
