Not if you merge steam folders and files... I have been fiddling with Windows for years. Steam has validated it. Steam is already on my PC. I already ran the activation thing. All I need to do is merge a few more files and add in a few more folders into Steam.

Which is why after the failed attempts to download on a 32 bit laptop, we tried it on a 64 bit laptop and did the activation process. Please do not assume I am stupid, just because I did not know Steam did that sort of thing. This is one of the only, if not the only, 64 bit game(s) out there right now. Its going to throw a few people off a bit, even someone like me who has played video games before they could walk (about 22 years) If it was not for Vermin media, I would
Except my PC which is offline is 64 bit. I just needed to download it. Unfortunately Steam threw a curveball at me so I will have to manually edit steam files and merge folders from the Steam install on the 64 bit laptop.
Its ok found the issue. Because of my lack of internet I had to borrow a family members laptop to download it on. Tried on another laptop this one being 64 bit and yeah, downloading. Am I correct in assuming I will be able to transfer it onto my offline PC which has steam?
Changed from London UK to Manchester UK and then USA New York. No change.
Its to do with STEAM. 111mb is what its telling me before I install it.
I have done that several times. Each time, Steam tells me there is only 111mb to download and install, perhaps something wrong with Steam servers?
I seem to be missing all the files for the game, steam downloaded 111mb, with a folder inside called _CommonRedist and inside that two more folders called DirectX and vcredist. Does not look like there is any game related material in them, but I could be missing something...
[quote quoting="post"] Hellll no. I am all for supporting a developing game, but thats outrageous. I dont care how much free content you will give me, thats a not to my wallet I cant do. I have been waiting for this game for a long time now so I am extremely disappointed. Can you please give us a more reasonable price option? I'll buy it in a heartbeat (I'd have bought it already if it wasnt so insanely expensive). Long-time loyal fan [/q
Ctrl-Alt-Delete, task manager. If it does not try and close it, go to processes and look for the games EXE file and end process. I can not tell you how many times I have had to do this for Steam games, seems to be an issue with launching via steam, but then it is an easy fix.
But thats the way GalCiv has been and by the looks of it will be. The best you can do is select an immense galaxy size and set stars to abundant.
1200 systems? By the time your fleet has gone on its 2 year voyage to reach the enemy territory, it will be horrifically out of date. Good luck playing THAT fleet.
Resolution is due to FB being a dick and not uploading in full resolution.
There was alot of star trek style stuff, from nacelles to saucer sections (look at terran flagship) to phasers, disruptors, photonic and photon torpedos, pulse cannons etc...
Yeah, like I said, limitations of the editing software. Will be back on my PC at some point with a more powerful editor with layering and all that.
Steamworks is essentially a sharing service. If you enable the option and play whilst connected to Steam online, you will be sharing all the stuff you build, and the tactics you get, which gets added to a central server which then distributes it to other players via steamworks, and your creations and your tactics may be used (if good enough) against players. That is how I think it would work anyway. Be funny if I was spot on.
So, this is how I see and understand it is this: Steams servers and steamworks boosts the AI by enhancing its inteligence and learning tactics players use and building ships that they have designed for factions. It also has 1 vs 1 multiplayer. Steam is also a useful platform for updates and DLC.
Let me know what you all think. P.S I know it look as if stars are in the planet, blame my editing software on my phone. Might do more when I get back on a PC.
Indeed, and over here you can also buy steam wallet cash and origin digital downloads. But I think they need to do it more and with a system that allows digital trade ins.
XP mode might be your best option then, although it may cause other issues. In any case, try unclicking full screen even on lower resolutions. Or get a bigger screen (GC2 look lovely in 1920×1080 on a 32 inch HDTV)
Can anyone (particularly developers) tell me what the policy with Stardock is with let's players recording? I have a couple of GC2TA videos up, with a third awaiting edit and upload, and want information for GC3. Can videos be monetised? Can the alpha (with obvious statings that it is an alpha and update videos including through beta and into release) be recorded and uploaded and if so can we get a statement made public for youtubers to be able to add to their videos if YT gets a bit peda
Game stores need to switch to a model of selling more digital downloads. Maybe have a card that you can later trade in for money rather than a disc. That card then gets scanned and the product deactivated (but not deleted so you can buy one cheaper later on) from your account.
This reads as: I want my money back because I dont want to download a game so I can download a pirated game and steal this hardworking game developers money. Epic fail. Devs read these forums...
Yes! you don't run it in full screen mode. Whilst it will still fit to screen it won't bug when you alt tab, since it is part of that window. It might sometimes lag a bit after switching back but give it a few seconds. Hope it helps, was hell for me since I record games and lost part of a save I was using for a lets play, luckily did not loose much progress. Set auto save to every 2 or 4 saves and manually save often incase of other crashes. It is afterall an 8 year old game r
