I am glad you are looking into this. I was thinking this was another want that would never materialize.
ForesterSOF
When I do not want to manually explore I use the explore command for a ship. The problem is that when I want it to look for planets it goes all over instead. Could you make dif types of explore. Explore Planets Explore Space Explore Resources
Ideology costs could go in the setup screen for each game. Default would be normal.
I take my wheel to manufacturing as much as I can without coercion and my slider to 90% social. Res Enginering till contact or need for other things like moral and translator. Pump out colonizers 1 a turn using buy. After that I decide on how much explore vs constructors I need. Ideology depends on how I feel. I have tried them all and mixed them. One game I even got them all. Balance and diversity seem to be my key to win. Once and a while will
It sounds like you are in the "develop your own strategy" phase. For starters try doing a bit of all to see where your strengths are.
I find GCIII not to be a game for the faint of heart It is more involving then many other games I have played. If you are going to play it play it for a few hours straight. If you want a casual game with less thought then Master of Orion would due
Maybe what they can do is make a slider in options for the grid opacity.
What about validating your files.
Lots of good stuff
Input I do not know if it is possible but I would like multiple maps linked by a wormhole. This way one goes after the solar system then multiple SS then galaxy then multiple maps. This would mean a Universe map linking to each map the game creates. Due to the size only one map could be open at a time. A way to make the game never ending for MP that want to play once/week continuously improving the map. epic long game. After the expansion I bet there wi
I label my insane maps with way points or I would also get lost.
I am a strategy nice guy. battles do not turn me on I look forward to espionage and more political stuff. I prefer to strategy using spys to destroy tech, food and water etc. And then there is the political game play. Wrap these things up with different races and away you go.
With those new specs you should be able to play Galactic Civilization VI fine. The one thing to remember with this game is it likes RAM. Yum yum.
I am using an Alien also. Intel i7 3610QM at 2.3 RAM is 16 Video is Radeon HD 7970M I run Insane fine. Wish I had your rig.
All
lol at the racial traits. Don't know if everyone is ok with a mod like this. Some would argue it's racist.
All they need to do is not download it.
Could putting Stardock's version of the M-F Lets Play videos on Youtube help advertising the games. Also I and others are not able to see them live and Twitch is not always an option.
To help speed things up keep the lets play but set chat people as advisors in an areas. Economy Political Manufacturing Technology Ideology etc This way reduce the amount of time to make decisions. Think of them as advisors for Chris. This will also help to show strategies in some areas.
I will look at doing that. For me it would be to make a shipset of spheres.
Was watching and I suggest that the person playing have run through it on their own first so they know the strategy side of the game.
Better yet a scenario editor would be nice StarTrek scenario StarWars scenario B5 senario etc for those that do not want to install a MOD.
This is TBS not RTS. Things work differently unless you are willing to pay lots for an improvement that few even care about in the end.
Enjoyment like Larsenex talked about is what is all about. Enjoyment is an arbitrary belief. Not a monetary value. I also found looking for bugs and going to the forum was almost 3/4 of my enjoyment. With that figure did you get the game and all DLC etc for only $25. If you did then great for you.
Could you put some pics or something of what you are working on in it. I promise not to tell. Just salivate wanting more.
