I currently have all planets at 100 morale but my civilization morale is at 98. Tee hee.
I get annoyed by this too... I expand rapidly early game, colonizing everything in sight. I build lots of ships early and place them in orbit around these planets/shipyards/starbases. I have specialized planets pumping out tons of production. I have 17 planets now and a descent Faction Power score. That is until I run across the Iridium who have nearly QUADRUPLE my Faction Power score with LESS planets
So you sometimes declare war on people for no reason other than their opposing ideology?
No. Why would you think I'd do that? I tend to stay neutral for as long as possible, and rarely declare war on anyone unless someone like the Snathi or the Drengin or the Daleks or Space Orks are on a total warpath across the whole Galaxy, at which point rally as many races together as a sort of resistance force. The pseudo role-
Culturetraitdefs is it. If it doesn't work its because the command or you usage of it is not correct.
Could you please provide an example? For example, if I wanted Awe Tier 1. I would really appreciate it.
Unfortunately, that's what strategy games are. YOU aren't playing like an actual civ leader either, why do you expect an AI to do so? If you want an actual simulation, go play distant worlds. It's just what you ask for. All AI civs behave like actual galaxy-spanning political organizations. Yes, some as completely evil and want to eat your brains but there are others whose "win state" is outbreeding everybody else witho
Does anyone have a for-sure list of the Ideology internal names for the purposes of console command unlocks? I've tried using the names in the Text files, but they never work.
I've never been able to get treaties to appear in the game even at launch. Except for Alliance, that is.
It sometimes feels like the AI is cheating with ship production to me, as well. I decided to do an experiment lately and I used the modcredits cheat to give myself tons of credits so I could Rush Colony Ship production at the start of a game. I went around colonizing the hell out of tons of planets, but lo and behold, several civs somehow have even MORE planets colonized. I cheated like crazy to get those planets, how does an AI produce all those colony ships on Normal difficulty? They also h
I got to thinking about something recently. Would it be possible to add planets to an active game via a console command? We all ready have a console command to place resources, and the game does actually have features that cause planets to spontaneously appear in an active game, so would it be possible for the player to add planets through the console, given that the game engine supports spontaneous planet generation?
A mod is any modification of, addition to, or subtraction from, the base assets. When you adjust your planets with the options, you are adding no assets. When you add a custom portrait, background, etc, you are adding assets. You can argue that since you actually have to add those assets outside of the customizer to use them it's not a mod, but when you create a custom race, even without adding other assets, you are sti
I'm not going to link and quote every post, or even related posts, but I notice a back and forth concerning if races are considered mods and people getting overly defensive and protective of the game in relation to it being able to support many factions properly. Adding races with the in-game feature is not a mod, this is a fact, I have been using mods with games since the 90's. Saying using the in-game feature is modding is like saying creating your own character at the start of a ga

I don't think the unlock command does work with Ideologies. I've even used it with every "internal name" in the Traits files, including "Trait" and "Tier". For example, to unlock the first outreach ideology would be unlock OutreachTrait1 or OutreachTier1. Then again, the fact there are two internal names for the same thing does seem suspicious... Anyone got anything to add?
Does anyone know which file has the Ideologies?
Hmm I can't seem to get the unlock cheat to unlock affinities. They seem to be listed with names like "OutreachTrait1" to "OutreachTrait5" in the Traits Internal file, but the game doesn't recognize any of the names.
What level are you playing? On the higher levels the AI gets many cheats of various kinds. On normal they are supposed to be playing by the rules. So has anyone found out how to use the Colonize command yet?
A second space station has just appeared within my territory without trace of a Builder coming before it.
I think I just caught an AI builder ship teleporting to it's destination. Their Builder moves at a slow 2 spaces per turn, while mine moves at 6 per turn thanks to Relics and Faction Trait. Moving alongside their builder unit, my own was "racing" theirs to a destination, and at the time of the incident our builders were adjacent. Abruptly, on the next turn, their builder disappeared and a space station appeared 12 tiles ahead. Anyone else noticed suspi
WRT the LEP, I reduced it from -0.2 to -0.07. I might increase it to -0.1. I tend to play insane maps with lots of planets - -0.2 was ridiculous, the AI and the player will almost never meet, because you need to have a shit ton of approval relics or research to deal with the LEP. -0.07 is much better, but makes approval too easy to deal with. No LEP means the AIs run super rampant when they have the growth bonuses
Does anyone else think that the game's very mechanics don't work at all with many opponents? I have a Galaxy on Insane with Abundant Systems, Habitable Planets, etc... and yet there still isn't enough planets, resources, space, etc... for even 20-40 factions without things getting retarded. I find that using high number of opponents doesn't work because the game does not have the resources(planets, systems, etc...) to support them. I'm playing with 40 factions with
