I was thinking about it, I dont really have to replace race soundtracks and ambient ones. Perhaps a few ambient tracks and the bigger ones like events and screens and I could make this a thing. I guess ill put it on the workshop when it comes out.
That could do it and if you happen to have any time... I formally invite you to THE ULTIMATE SCIFI WAR. Essentially a mod combining races from TV shows, movies
Ah, yeah didn't play a lot of ToA. I seem to remember them having special techs. Turn 1 was like, you get a galactic achievement, you get a galactic achievement, everyone gets a galactic achievement.
Yeah, galactic wonders for each race as a way to specialize them was a little weird for that.
Or maybe we just haven't been posting in the same threads much or something.
That is mostly it, I remember you from DARCA's argument about non-humanoid races.
Apparently I did not pay attention because I didn't know they were shapeshifters. I didn't play much of ToA though.
Yes it is in one of their unique techs, and appears to be a secret to others races. Which raises the possibilities of them having spread out and infiltrated other civilizations, for example what happens if they take over a civilization through shapeshifting and lead them to support a Dr
I think the Drath will be coming back in the expansion that deals with the espionage system, after all they are shape-shifting space dragons and who knows if they are really extinct.
Most likely though it is odd that the Korx and Drath are not on the databanks civilizations page, the Torians are who still exist, (farmed for meat, always liked their music in Galactic civilizations II) and we know that the Drath and Kor
Soooo, I have been following my own advice and trying to contact very members through the community. So far I have posted on Mechworks mod post and I am about to PM Dumhed, any others? I have also PMed Pierreluc and Bamdorf. Also thx. *EDIT* Fixed spelling errors, and updated information. Cheers! -Jeff26jeff
Happy to hear his tradition continues, looking forward to this. You may want to get involved in a community project over here to submit races and logos and portraits or if you have ship designing talents, volunteer for creating some. Cheers! -Jeff26jeff
If those are the ships they do look pretty easy to do. I'd have to be really into the lore to want to play with those very often. Looks like a bunch of submarines. Are they wider from the top down view? Or just cylindrical like they appear? I think I see some small conning towers on some of them. I can pull those two flags/logos off the corners for two factions, np. Ok so she's the "Manticore" faction leader. D
Daaaamn, RavenX when you try to get something together...
Quoting Intrepidation, reply 8 I would really like to see the Honor Harrington universe, I think it lends itself well to GC3. I've never heard of that myself, but if you can do a
I have talked previously on this topic here . Now have I created a discussion area to talk about where they are in the galaxy now and any ideas about them. The Shape shifting Space dragons/dinosaurs have gone missing and I'd like to find them. [e digicons]:P[/e] This is also an area for discussion the other civilizations as release approaches. Cheers! -Jeff26j
This is very much so a good idea. I think however this might actually live as a mod rather than developer input for a while. (This might change because of its mod status.) Also haven't seen you guys around econumdrum1 and Ryat. Not on the Galactic Civilization III forums at least. Cheers! -Jeff26jeff
See? It is much more understandable and probably has a better chance of fitting in with the game, and of actually getting put it. You might just be able to make a simple mod out of it when the time comes so as to get some of the ideas that probably don't require someone good at programming. (I am definitely not one for a programming job I'll tell you that.) Or for that matter try to get another such person to put it their mod, I've seen many good ideas go out becau
I have too agree. And anninhilator I have been seeing you around on the forums a lot recently. How is it going for you? Cheers! -Jeff26jeff
Cool, maybe I'll check it out things are starting to die down over here. Was busy hours before you posted compiling stuff on my Drath to Krynn connection, posted some stuff but not much luck on any connection. Did find some interesting stuff and posted that too. Drath always gonna be controlling from behind the scenes those devilish Space dragon/dinosaurs Cheers! -Jeff26jeff
I might try this when I get them game. Always enjoyed SoaSE. All well, release arriving up soon eh? Can't wait. Cheers! -Jeff26jeff (And in spirit of my SoaSE forum legacy) -Jeff the Vague [e digicons]:moon:[/e]
Interesting idea of streaming all your games. May have to come watch sometime, all well don't have time now. Cheers! -Jeff26jeff
Yikes! Suppose it must be all the dead Dreadlords screaming. [e digicons]:P[/e] Cheers! -Jeff26jeff
This maybe a out of line of the flow of the discussion but, I recently made a post about interesting things with the Drath and the Krynn (, not that there was much of a connection,) and then seeing this. About the Krynn being overpowered just made me last when first seeing it. My thoughts being: "Its all because of the Space dragons/dinosaurs!" [e digicons][/e] Cheers! -Jeff26jeff
Cheers Stardock!
Indeed. I have long awaited this day since I bought Galactic Civilizations II. I wish I could have played but my financial situation has not reached the point of were i should be able to do so. I will try to get it soon. Cheers to Stardock and the Galactic Civilizations community!
While these seem like very good ideas I have to wonder about the validity of them by the fact that they might be too complicated to be added onto an already large and expansive game, you may wish to look for a way to simplify the ideas. I look forward to another new interesting ideas you may have. -Jeff26jeff
First things first, I was looking through the Galactic Civilizations II tech descriptions and came across this: Invisible Hand "The [YOURSHORTCIVNAME] have a unique ability that few know about -- they can shape shift. It is not something they can do quickly, it takes many hours to do, but they can mimic to a significant degree most of the species of the galaxy. They are particularly good at emulating the Altarians (and thereby humans). <b
