I've been putting off playing as the Torians and Arceans, waiting to see if achievements for them were coming. In my current game I'm winning while not building any military ships of my own (except for transports), just relying on mercenaries hired and ships found in anomalies - that might make for a good Steam achievement.
That won't give you enough ships to fight with.
Well you cannot use dead planets because the technology to build and enclosed sealed space doesn't exist.... it has not existed ever since submarines were first never invented. and it has not existed ever since space craft were first never invented.
I agree. [e digicons]XD[/e]

I see, thank you. I know there's a period where I'm most vulnerable at. Peacekeeper just showed me how vulnerable it is. I got hit when the colony rush ended and the infrastructure build up on planets started. As in, factories was still being built, so i can actually crank out Medium class ships in 3 turns or less. The small escorts I built, destroyed them magnificently and told the robot's consendicating attitude to take what they say

Super early too early for that kind of event to happen. Almost punched my monitor. Reverted to a save one hour earlier.

fuck this event. I was perfectly fine. Then powerful ships out of no where comes out and wipes out all my shit just cuz snathai can't beat me. And from what I'm seeing, Snathai isn't getting hurt by the event.

I need to know if the idiot AI fighting me is suffering equally from Peacekeeper event. I'm losing starbases and survey ships and scouts and constructors and alot of my free ships from exploring. I also lost my exploring Ysengard ship. :( At least one of those peacekeeper accidentally suicided into my fortified world where I actually had a fleet in presumly because it was chasing my Starlab mercenary. Because if only the

So I tried to design one from scratch. I was like, where is the front?!? I saw a bunch of cone points pointing in all directions. And I was like great, how am I supposed to know where is the front. Cuz Last thing I want is designing a bunch of ships flying sideways into battle.

lordofvoid, its not that interesting. You watch ships kill each other in one hit and battles end in a draw. Whoop dee doo.

Last time I played Sins was like about 3-5 years ago? I remember the rebellion's titans for loyalists/rebels. But I still remember how I dealt with them. Should be noted that I played exclusively as humans in Sins. 1) Try to figure out where the pirate base. 2) Succeed or Failure, establish where your frontlines would be at and position ships at interception posts. 3) Quickly Establish an super early starbase on 1-3 frontline areas.
I went back and played Endless Space last week. In that game I've noticed multiple AIs declaring war on me, my score was too high or I'm too powerful. It doesn't matter if I have several times the amount of military ships, they still declare war on me. In Gal Civ 3 it doesn't happen if you're much stronger. The AIs in Gal Civ 3 worry too much about it's military strengh compare to the human player when decla

I have found when I start on very edge of the playable map for galciv3, Games tend to be very boring. But when I start in the middle or near to middle, I find the game very spicy. I actually restart game when I find myself on very edge of the map now! Mainly because I can explore in all directions, and I won't know what will be coming at me until I scout them out. What about you guys.
If mercenaries are killed or used they are done for the rest of that game. As much as I would like to re-use The Last Boyar, he is a one shot deal, like the constructor that flips planets in its AOE. I also think he has the coolest backstory, for what it's worth. SO I just got mercenary expansion today. And screwed around. First things I noticed, graphic updates for battles. They look more mystical now. Magical even. Very interesting. I like the old graphic but I like this new magical graphic. I'm torn. I think I like the new magical graphics more better than old graphics. And then, the screen now shakes whenever a ship goes boom. I approve. My bloodthirsty minime likes it. This is going to make my do

I thought that vigilant trait would give free ships + they would also come with no maintenance cost. It was a big surprise that they have maintenance cost, it almost cost me one campaign game. I just immediately grabbed all the costly escort ships and hurled them all at the nearest meatgrinder target to get rid of all of them immediately and gain territory at drengin's expense. It needs to be relabeled you gain 3 escort ships for each controlled planets, starbases etc. Then I will

Give planets movement points, Change their planet graphic into a really really huge spaceship. Transform their planet maps into starship interior maps. Profit?

If i remember correctly, there's a Precursor world that comes with base influence of 10 or 20. I had three influence starbases around this planet and, let's just say that planet brought the nearby planets under my influence. Fast.
If you can get a brilliant series of planets in a relatively small star cluster, that is the holy grail! I have had good maps before, but typically always involving a larger area, so what happens is that my generous expansion is at the cost of the AI having less planets which is very bad...... and i have quit plenty of good starts for that very reason. I once got a start where I had 10+ Star systems with 3 earthlike planets in each. yeah. I just fainted from joy. Was an incredible start. And it also had five precursor worlds that I nabbed. Needless to say my manufacturing was incredible in that game.
