I originally made this mod for my own enjoyment but now that I've expanded upon it I feel it can be published. I've never used this spamming strategy. I mean I do spend the *generous* initial 5000 credits by buying up the first ships/factories but once I've reached 5-10 colonies (hopefully in close proximity) I begin to 'densify' the core by cranking up production and occupying all the star systems with resources/artifacts until such time as I have 1 or 2 shared shipyard that can produce a colony ship per turn. I've never seen anything like rebellions or upheavals, even when approval was in the lower hold. When I hover my mouse on top of the figure it tells me my people are 'sad' and that's it. I played one game up to 800 turns and only 15 years had passed between my humble origins and the galaxy spanning empire I ended up with when I ascended - that is silly and immersion breaking. So is it possible to mod how time elapses in game? I think 4 to 6 months per turn would do the scope of the game justice.

In the Master of Orion series there was a role-playing element in the form of leaders (military, administration, science, culture, etc); come to think of it, in Stardock's other game this was also present. Can we expect to see this appear in some future DLC? Also it would be interesting to add a religious element to the game - perhaps expand the ideology system to include it?

I wish there was a search function in the editor so when you wish to double check if you've assigned ownership of a system you can either enter the name or coordinates and it would zoom there right away. On insane size maps especially...

So I made a map but none of the major powers are there - even though I placed their home worlds - only minors. And those are hardly developed... Is there a console command to reveal the whole map so I can see if the majors are there at all?

I have one planet I can't move the production slider when I click on Govern Planet - it's 100% to social when the planet is fully built so I can't use that production for the adjacent shipyard. Anyone seen this before? The only thing I can think of is it's revenues are negative.

Is there a way to control the placement of exes on planet surfaces? I dislike the fact Earth has 2 exes available in the Siberian tundra while Western Europe, the North American Seaboard and Australia are not covered from the start. I tried increasing the default tiles settings from 11 to 13 but once again, it's 2 more tiles in the extreme north of America that opens rather than those I want.

I tried customizing the Terran Alliance but when copy it to make a custom faction the game doesn't seem to make the difference between the home world name and the star name. Also, how do I change the hexagon map? There are exes in Siberia while India, Australia and South-East Asia are bare and undeveloped?
