I did a search for "frogboy" to see what posts come up regarding tips or advice for GalCiv3. During that search I found a post titled, "Wardell day". This year is there going to be anything specially released for the day (June 24th)? Maybe a one of a kind GalCiv3 ship? haha
Richiemoe
Saweeeet!!! So do I leave work a little early and play this incredible game while watching the streams from home at 3? Or watch the streams at work and pretend to "work" starting at 3, then play when i get home? hmmmm..... haha
No Man's Sky Gal Civ 3 Mortal Kombat
I was just about to post something about this game, then i saw it was already posted on here. I saw this write up on Engadget. http://www.engadget.com/2015/01/19/sid-meiers-starships/ I use to play those types of games a lot when Age of Empires was still around. C&C, Empire Earth, Star Wars Galactic Battle Grounds were also fun! But i never really cared for the Sid Meier games. I'm waiting for a game that y
Maybe this is a little too dark or complicated... But with the create your own race feature, could you plant a race onto your own planet? For instance, if you played as the Terran, could you get to a level of research where your scientists can create a race, in which you can plant onto a un-colonized planet? That way that race could live on a planet you are unable to terraform or grow their empire on a planet you don't want to have to take care of yourself, but they would still use your t
Maybe this has already been brought up in the past, but it it just occurred to me. Will there be any setting for second screen support? Rather than have an extra wide view, can you use one monitor for navigation and view what all is happening in the map, then have be able to use the second monitor as a command screen that you can always have open. A statistic like page with notifications, functions, etc... Just a thought... Hope I explained that alright and it makes sense...
I think people are still forgetting this is Beta, not full release... lol But love the enthusiasm! haha Can't wait to test it out! I haven't paid much attention to this site since spring, except for most of the dev videos... Gotta get caught up.
watching the replay now. :-)
I'm in West Michigan and my buddy went to Mich Tech in Hougton, MI. All of Michigan is cold right now, but the UP is pretty hardcore! I really like that he posts these notes in the vault for us to also read. I can only imagine how nerve recking it is going to be to release this in Alpha and have people think the game isn't up to par, so they spread bad news and the game get bad publicity for it... Only a matter of time until one person does it... :-( Those notes do hel
ah gotcha, thanks! i am already subscribed. but i'm sure it would help if i looked through the whole email, rather than merely glance... lol
I read on a few forums that people have found 66% off coupons on Steam to get GalCiv2. So I was looking for a coupon for Sins Rebelion. I already have Trinity, so I don't really want to pay full price ($40) for Rebellion.... But I would purchase some of the DLC's as they are pretty cheap and look cool. Can anyone explain to me what "cards" are on Steam? I'm new to it... I was googling for coupon codes, but evidently that doesn't work... lol I saw some posts about 66% o
BOOM! Perfect! lol Crazy to think that where computer are going, there will be a game like that out there. But who is going to make the first one and start it all???
true... but you have to admit Tridus, it would be pretty sweet! :-)
I would love to see a Command & Conquer style of planetary invasion! Anyone ever play A Bridge Too Far for Win 95/98? Even something simple like that! Depending on how many troops you have in your transports and what your research level is, you can manually go in and invade the city. You would be able to try taking over a building, but if the troops are too heavy, then you could always blow it up, in which you would lose having that building if your invasion was successful! I can't th
@TheBirthdayParty: I've looked around online and have come across many projects that people started and never finished or projects that are still being worked on... It's been awhile since i looked around though, so maybe there are finally some that are done! :-)
ooooooo, i forgot about far cry 3!!!! AMAZING game!!!!
have you looked into Elder Scrolls Online? It looks pretty amazing! I loved Skyrim on xbox! But idk if i want to pay $15/month for ESO for as little time as i have to play video games...
Thank you for all of the input everyone! I already bought into the regular founders deal. So upgrading is only $60... But I'm not too excited about the Alpha access, since i don't have that much time at the moment to go through and play enough to find things that need to be worked on. I feel Alpha is more of a duty to help make the game better, rather than viewing it as an opportunity to play the game early... With the history of releases from previous 32-bit GalCiv ga
I just read through all of the Databanks material and it stated "Due to the expected longevity of Galactic Civilizations III, the new engine is strictly 64-bit and DirectX 11. This is to allow the game to continue to be improved and expanded well into the future.". So my question is, how worth it will it be to order the Elite package? Would i really be saving that much money from purchasing the updates individually? Besides the ease of use with simply downloading the newest update whe
I know this is probably pretty late in the game to request new changes, but I do have a few ideas. As I am playing GalCiv2 more, there are more things that I am finding. I hope i can offer a different point of view on some stuff since i am still a new player to the game... One thing that I'd like in GalCiv3 is the option to liberate planets, rather than just try to invade them and take them over. If a minor civilization gets taken over, have the option to liberate them/sav
thank you so much! i guess i didn't know that the game was that in depth and that option to bribe others was possible. thats pretty sweet! so lets say my max population is 16b. then i should remove some of the buildings on my planets that increase the population growth around 12 or 14b, right? or do i not want to build buildings that increase my population growth? Birth of the Federation didn't have a penalty for max growth. i actually wanted to max my population so it
this might sound dumb, but what is hot seat? it is different than playing someone over the internet/lan?
thanks, i'll check out the site, Realm. you are correct Willy. i was just using Ivy Bridge as an example. i'm looking into them for a new desktop. my laptop has "Quad i7-740QM". i think that is the first gen of i7.
i think a lot of it is that i am new to the game and there are still a lot of aspects that i do not understand. so they seem a little overwhelming/too micromanaged to me for now! i'm sure once i start to understand the game more, i'll be a little less turn happy and be able to use these extra features to my advantage. :-) also, the entire time that i am playing galciv2, i am comparing everything to BOTF... LOL so i'm always thinking, wow i love this feature, or ohhh i wish
1. Birth Of The Federation 2. Galactic Civilizations 2 I've watched some youtube videos of other games and some look fun. I hear Master of Orion is great. But these are really the only true 4X games that i can remember playing continuously. I am not a huge star trek fan by any means, but i loved the in game features! Very simplistic in terms of use, but the game play is also very in depth. The downside is that it takes so long when waiting for your t
