I know this is probably pretty late in the game to request new changes, but I do have a few ideas.
As I am playing GalCiv2 more, there are more things that I am finding. I hope i can offer a different point of view on some stuff since i am still a new player to the game...
One thing that I'd like in GalCiv3 is the option to liberate planets, rather than just try to invade them and take them over. If a minor civilization gets taken over, have the option to liberate them/save them. The same with a group takes over one of my planets. Like the Jaged Knife group (i think that is the group that took over one of my planets). It was just suddenly taken over, not battled over. Then i had to go fight with many troop transports to get it back... Which there might be a strategy that i'm missing. but i'd like to see just an option of "Liberate". i just did traditional warefare until i got it back. but it used the whole population against me. wasn't the planet just taken over? plus i had 99% loyalty. wouldn't they try to revolt and want to come back to me?
Also, rather than staying in just a galaxy, will this be a much larger play area? Like a Universe or many galaxy's?Maybe the only way to find these are by way of wormhole because they don't show up on the mini map. but once discovered, the extended map is suddenly expanded. Basically, if found this and started a colony there, you would not be detected until someone came through the wormhole and found this whole new galaxy. that would add a whole new element to the game... you might think the enemy is almost gone on the main map, but see they still have a strong economy... or it could be a great way to introduce minor races that are just coming into the game... but would it fit into the story line? idk...
Again, I am new to this game and i could be completely wrong on all of this! lol Just throwing it out there...
Since this will only run on 64-bit computers, i am excited to see how big this game can really be!
