You bring up a good point, currently the sfx slider does not control the volume of Interface sounds. Creating a slider for the Interface Sounds is scheduled for a later beta. I hope this helps explain what is going on.

My first instinct on this would be to try and verify the files via steam or re-installing. I hope this helps! :)
The Starbases were designed to repair themselves over time, if this is not happening then that is not intended.

Thanks for the reports! :) In reference to: "-I've found that the Missionary Center benevolence improvement does not actually seem to provide the promised ideology points. I've constructed one on most of my worlds and my ideology meter hasn't moved an inch. A source of a great deal of frustration since I was counting on those to provide additional ideology points since I'm running out of planets in my current game..." "-Lag spike wh

Are you referencing the Interface sounds or the in game sfx like battle sounds as not getting affected by the sound slider?

Thanks for the feedback! :) I talked with the lead designer about this and there maybe tweaks that will need to be made with the map generation.
Thank you for the feedback! Currently the AI is in an early state and constantly changing. In the case that the planet has already been colonized. The AI takes a few turns to assess the situation and make sure that there is not a better option. If there is no better option the colony ship will retreat into its own territory to be decommissioned.

Thanks for the post! :) Bilal is correct, the use of the console commands may cause unintended results which would not be present in a "normal playthrough". I believe he is referencing it in the sense that because the commands may ruin the player experience they are not supported or encouraged for player use. Also if the commands are used by the player, they may interfere with finding the reason why the game crashed on the development side.
Thank you for the feedback, :) In reference too: "After hovering some small icons in the tech tree to see detailed info the game was stuck. Music was playing, cursor was moving but I could not go back or close the tech tree or use ESC to bring up the menu. I had to terminate the game."
