This is bad how? Early game anomalies can make or break a game? I don't know how you play, but one of the first ships I build is another survey ship. Within about 10 turns you can tech enough for a bit better engine tech, more min bonuses and the survey module. For the hull, who would use anything but a cargo hull?
I agree. Building more survey ships to gather all of the anomalies can give you an advanta

And besides, your original survey flagship would probably be lost by the end of the game due to the fact that they tend to wander into enemy territory, making them easy prey. You would need replacements.
My meanest act might be what I did to win my latest game. There is this minor race who stole all of the technologies of the most technologically advanced major race via an event. First, I declared war on the minor race. Then I blockaded the planet and smashed all of their ships. Then, I forced them to pay up every last technology and credit for peace. Then, right after I made peace, I declared war again and conquered their planet! [e dig
Ship's Experience Level indicated if the ship is level 0, 1, 2, etc.
We all have moments when we decided to pull off really mean moves, much meaner than taking candy from a baby! What is the meanest trick you pulled off in a game?
I was wondering how does the Maximum HP of a ship is calculated. So I ran some tests and experiments and I think I have a theoretical formula that can be used to calculate the Maximum HP of a ship given all of the variables: Max HP = A + (A* Ship's Experience Level *0.05) Where A = ( Base HP of Ship + Total HP Bonus from Modules )*(1 + Racial HP <stro

What happened? Why did you lose?
Another question: Will each race retain their own unique technologies? Because I really like's the Iconian's Self-Healing Hulls.
I see. So, with fewer initial AI opponents, will all of them have the opportunity to develop to be mighty enemies? And the spellchecker in these web-browsers needs to get better!!!
Nice looking ship. And oh boy, I need to get a ship that also have over 200 experience levels. With all of these ultra-ships coming in, I'm afraid my lvl 102 fighter's gonna be left in the dust. And how did you keep the fleet alive for so long?
Good Lord! Is that true? Then they are the most powerful ships I EVER seen. [e digicons]8C[/e]
This is what I'm observing in my games. It seems that, assuming the difficulty and personality of the AIs are similar of the same, that the races who comes out the strongest and those who come out the weakest tend to change from game to game. For example, in one of my TA games, the Drath Legion is my biggest enemy while in another, they die out quickly. The name in that sentence is changed often. Sometimes, the Torian Confederation came out on top. Othertimes, the
Good lord! What did you do?
My enemies do get the Precursor Ranger rarely. Most of the time, I manage to obtain them one way or another. All in all, only three of my games did the enemy kept the ship. And in all three times, they blew up. One time is when the Peacekeepers showed up and their Precursor Ranger went down in a hurry. The second time, I manage to catch it alone and, since it is nearly the end of the game with late-game technologies, I manage to crush it with my Revenge
My highest ever? A small ship that has a level of 102. That ship was around the time when I'm still using the minor race tech tree, my race uses an obnoxious shade of orange, and I'm still in a community college somewhere. Too bad I lost that game mainly because the race in brown has both Nightmare Torpedoes AND the mega event where their stats grow and grow and grow wi
I would like top know what is the highest leveled ship you ever had in a game? If you can, can you also show a picture of said ship as well?
Class 55?! I do not think I ever saw one naturally!
I started to use Skype for the first time yesterday and I like the program. Until I started to hear about issues like bandwidth usage and security issues. I looked all over the place but I did not get conclusive answers to my questions. To the Skype Experts, My questions are: 1.) Is Skype a large enough of a bandwidth hog that it might use up the bandwidth allowance at an alarming rate? and 2.) What are some concrete security
Me, the AI's can be a real pain if you set them to (especially) the Thalan AI. It seems that their AIs always turn the opponents into psychotic and relatively strong empires. For example, I equipped the Drath Legion with the Thalan AI. Not only they survived until the end (something incredibly rare for them), but they also went on to become one of the strongest empires in the game. Scary huh?
If you must play the Twilight of Anor, then take note that some of the AI's (Drengin, Korath, Drath, Iconians, Acereans, and Yor) is somewhat broken and does not play optimally. This can be rectified by switching the AI personalities to something more challenging (Generic or Thalan personality gives out big challenges).
I think that the AI's surveyors do check wormholes, which tend to fling them around. Maybe that is why they are able to find you.
Here is a tip when designing fleet ships like the bottom ship: You need weapons on it. What good is the ship if it can not defend itself? If it caught in the open or in a weak group, it will get destroyed in a hurry. Adding weapons will give it a chance of victory. Also, by adding weapons to it, you can use it as a wall since ships with fleet modules and weapons will draw all of the enemy fire, leaving your other, weaker ships, safe (so long as the weaker ships does
