Hello, and welcome to Galactic Civilizations 2! Answers! 1.) The population of some planets are too high to keep a good morale. Once the planet hits more than 20b, the happiness of a planet would sink like a rock exponentially. Most experienced players stick to 20b as a cap since populations any higher would cost way too much in entertainment buildings to justify the increased tax revenues. 2.) The only way that the planets are not producing anything without

1.) Any research building would do. The "research district" is a fancy term for "any research building". 2.) The Knox doing well? How odd. On a more serious note, the AI is more sophisticated in Galactic Civilizations than most other games. The reason why they are ahead in tech might be because they have more planets than you. Do not despair, just keep on expanding and you will succeed.
Be careful on the later missions. The first few missions are easy as pie, I can agree. But once the Dread Lords appear, prepare to run for the hills because they are the main reason why many of us here never beaten the main campaign.
Can you take a picture of your situation and post it here? I can try to help you out.
Now do not give up so easily. First of all, do not limit yourself to planets just in your area. Expand! Even if you have to send it across the galaxy, it is better than having no planets! Good money flow requires time. For a long time, the money does not come easily for me at all as well. Just gather many planets and build as few as possible until you gain a profit. Consider economic treaties if you are really stuck.
I think the game description says that many of said corvettes are either hired thugs or conscripted unfortunates. Perfectly in-character fir an evil race.
Someone bribed them?
That would make a VERY funny comedy(?) scene! " Oh great and mighty Dread Lords! Your most pathetic followers have made this sacrificial offering to quench your thirst for blood! In return, we request you to smite the Iconians like the gods you are! And we hope you won't kill us!"
Clean here.
Don't worry. Stardock's not going to sell out since they do more than just games.
Galactic Civilizations 3?! Hopefully it will be even better.
I find the TotA tech trees to be sufficient and ok. Besides, I overcome any obstacle easily!
Those numbers are percentages. So +10 defense will increase your defense by 10%
Drath, the sneaky devils in any game. I hate them.
There we go. Thanks!
The thing is that I have played a few Metagames. So where are my medals?
I noticed that alot of you guys have medals in your posts. I want medals, where can I get them?
Pirates suck, I know. I am afraid that the only way to stop the Yor from ascending is to smash the base. Luck for you, attempting to ascend in anyway will piss off everybody else, so some AIs might gang up on the Yor.
Aw! I want super fortress Ascension starbases!
Massive Ships are pretty much what you expect from an end-game ship. Basically, you really want to have them by the time the attack levels breached the 300 attack mark per fleet. Because by that time, battleships won't cut it. Me, once I get Massive Ships, I start producing them as my main ship. They will serve me well even after the enemy start using the ultimate weapons!
But 15pc is still pretty damn awesome! With that sensor range, you can see alot!
Look in the templates section of the designer.
Me, I don't care for scores, especially if I tend to have 100+ planets to conquer, it would take forever to get them all.
Military Starbases do not defend your territory like turrets. But they can help you defend by providing attack and defense bonuses to nearby ships. Just add attack and defense modules like Protection Fields and Missile Launchpads and watch your weakest ships become mighty strong!
You know, it would make an amazing story if you managed to conquer most, if not all, of the Jagged Knife planets like I have in one game.
Question: Will the AI personalities have to be set to a certian value for the mod to work?
