http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/789726251/imagine-nations Tech demo coming out sometime this week. It's a game that's a little like Spore in that you have a choice between a bunch of different alien features to start with (currently only showing human). You can guide one or more civilizations to the space era and beyond like Civ 5. <

Star Lords is coming to early access next month. To seemingly offer an option to GalCivIII. Who knows how good it will be but the two games have a similar feature list.
Can we please have the ability to customize the colors of our weapons? IE, the color of lasers, mass weapons, and rocket propulsion colors. I had this idea mainly for laser colors, because being able to switch them from blue (startrek) to green (SW Empire) to red (SW Rebel Alliance) would rule. Also if we could get customization options for the weapons, that would rule. Pew pew lasers instead of beam lasers like from the video. Different missile models<
Also it needs to allow "Allied Victory" Alliances are fine, in that they allow your ships to cooperate and maybe share the map. But you need to be able to have both players win also.
I'm not against coop/teams, just hoping that if they are not in, you don't complain about the purchase. But if Hotseat is in the table, I don't see why coop/teams cannot be too. We should have some fun still if we're resticted to playing against one another, but it would vastly increase the longevity if we could coop or play on the same team.
I just bought an elite copy and one for my friend. We plan on playing this game together, and like all games we play together, we vastly prefer to play on the same team or coop. Now, in Civ5 teams shared research, I don't know if I prefer that or not but please SD remember to put in a teams option. It seems like a common option but not all multiplayer games have it.
WINTER IS COMING.
I can't imagine the world of GalCiv multiplayer. Yes I can, we'd have to use the ship builder even more to come up with "just in case" builds to counter the prevalent designs we might not be planning for. Humans are tricky though, I can't wait to see what strategies get cooked up!
Just after GalCiv2 they said they were going to do III when they had the technology! Although I thought it would be much later than this and forgot about it. SO EXCITE!!!
