Quoting Intrepidation, reply 8 As mentioned above, it's gmail. It's actually not. I was unable to sign up with a private domain name with firefox, but worked fine with opera.
Uhhh, I think
Intrepidation
As mentioned above, it's gmail.
I keep getting out of memory errors and I have 32 GB RAM. This is a relatively new issue.
One of the reasons for lack of MP play is that a number of us can't get it to work properly, once it's robust I think we'll see more MP play.
I get a low memory warning after playing for an hour or so, I have 16 GB. This is not an issue I have seen prior to 1.7
Pay particular attention to stage 3 above - don't under estimate building your transports ahead of time, you want to take your enemy's planets as quickly as possible before they can retaliate.
I am pretty sure that's how it was originally and the then it was changed.
I have tried several times over the various releases and yet to have an MP game actually work for more than about 20 turns. It's pretty frustrating, we have given up on it for a while.
worked fine for me
I would rather have them working on the next patch/DLC than perusing the forum for compliments.
I have seen this as well, I just always assumed it was displaying the previous notification that I had seen last time before updating it to the current notification.
Just trade for the tech you cant research.
Lighten up people with or without the circular planetary slider it's still a game and still playable!
Among other things, facing means that it matters where on the ship you hit it.
or you can search the forum for the multitude of threads on how to make money :)
Even with this opt-in we still can't get past the first turn without a disconnect.
I tried a number of times to get MP working last night, for us it wouldn't crash but it would peer disconnect every time. We never got past the first turn.
I would not like this at all. I want it to take a long time to get across the galaxy, not very immersive otherwise.
I have asked for this as well! On the plus side, a misplaced click can definitely make the game more interesting.
I always play the campaign first
I pushed hard for this in alpha/beta as well. It's too hard to get people with busy lives time synchronized for a LONG multiplayer game.
I don't see how you can possibly consider the game broken with this issue. I don't use the battle viewer at all and am still able to play ... funny that.
I agree, I look at it as a challenge, it's a game, PLAY IT!
Worked for me as well, thanks!
It kills me that Empire ( released in 1977 ) had patrols and GC3 doesn't. Just kills me...
