Quoting Seafireliv, reply 38 I actually found that games which rendered the sound first often ran better than games that didn`t. Same here, in my experience anyway. Well, input lag is the real issue. I have a feeling that the developer is using
Speaking of windows and performance, I've noted that crusade in general has some GUI lag. For example, in placing an improvement, it seems to hesitate, and in mouse over popup windows, they seem to lag. I have a 6 CPU / 12 core computer. The CPUs are never maxed when this is happening. Scratch head. I was looking around hoping to find some obscure tunables, but I don't think those are accessible to us. Sigh. Anyway, this still needs a bit
I only seen the jagged knife when i had at least 18 colonies after the event, but i think if they only had used the class zero planets that would solve that problem. I do agree there should be a turn limit before this would be able to spawn if fixed.
I actually miss the jagged knife. There were two complaints. First they were here because of mega events. A mega event was meant to change the game dramatically where the player would have a challenge to rebuild. The first, and least supported was that it was too strong. There were arguments against that that it wasn't even the hardest to counter. The second was that the Jagged knife didn't know how to run it's planets where it didn't go into debt, so it couldn't build anything. The last poin

Random event where you assinate somebody. Havent seen it in three, but i seen it in two. You did the assination warmonger.
Heres why that doesnt work that doesnt explain why big countries arent doing better than the small ones in the real world.
Yeah i heard brad mention that it is not a difference when everyone would always pick the best spot. Modding it has been tried it didnt work. I wold like to choose where to put my catitol.
Well I would like to ask everybody what were you doing for easter frogboy was debugging text files. I would say features then polish I would prefer, but I have never paid more than a hundred dollars for software. Most of the time I get bargain ben 10$. Carl Marx have had good points on economics until you realise before the invention of stocks it required rich powerful people to make jobs and stuff. Do you think it was a bunch of serfs in the middle ages who rebelled against the
Fewer bigger updates sound better. Tech tree editor sounds good. Can we have the modded trees. Drop down with the base races sound good. You should have the modded trees there. I'm not creative, or do I really spend the time to mod. Can we have a kiddy of new techs just to add. There are some ideas in two and three base. I would like to see a more diversive techs on abilities it'sjust to much work to do. Oh yeah this is probably the most used tool for galactic civilizations 3 three for me. I
admiral, you are going into very specific details that were meant only to describe, to better illustrate my main point - that Civs advantage is that their 4 eXes work simultaneously, whereas GalCivs - consequently. I was attempting to prove that this is a MAJOR difference between the two games, where Civ IN THIS ASPECT wins. I do not want to say that Civ is a better game in every way - that would be LUDICROUS to say.<br
Hi, I agree that the Civ franchise has created some good games in its entirety but none of them were without faults and this iteration of GalCiv in particular has a long way to go before it matures, potentially into something splendid. I especially liked Civ2 and Civ4 (never tried Civ1).
Played call to power 1 I thought it was civilization 1 does that count. I played freeciv it's kink of like civilization
When I read GalCiv thinking of what is 4X strategy game in this article , I understood why GalCiv, although being a great game, still falls behind Sid Meier's Civilization. It is because they do not understand the greatest advantage that Civ has compared to GalCiv - as it is written by Draginol in his article "what is a 4x strategy game" - they think that eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate ph
Second is ideology. I have never liked the fact that you could just pick from all three ideology. Instead of picking a choice the single choice points gets added to points on that choice, and when there is enough points you choose one. I would prefer you get a choice on which is a higher number. Now if there seems to be a tie the choice could be made three ways. 1. First you could choose which ideology which is tie. 2. It could be. Picked random. 3. It could be made wh
Cant wait to see the new changes. As far as xenophobic you could do to it what some people said it is for which is tall empires. Add a stiff penalty to making colony ships, and engineers to posibbly.removing engineers. This would ensure that they cant build wide, but would have to go tall. On top of penalising colony ship building, and penalising engineers, or not letting engineers add bonuses to colony ships. You could apply this to shipbuilding improvements where colony ships are exempted f

We are just loyals who have been following the game longer, or are willing to make more of an investment into the game our opinions should count to.
PacingDefs.xml is pretty useless for slowing down the game tbh [e digicons]:)[/e] It should use a similar system to what is located in GalCiv3GlobalDefs.xml for tech inflation. (Which is what you should play with to slow your games down)
Can you mod this.
Greatest game ever that's why I play, and the fact stardock is listening to my suggestions. You know you should throw those unique parts into a mod I know people will download it.
Well how would I rate the base galactic civilizations 3. I would have probably given it a 70% in the beginning. It was missing some user interface features from two, and it doesn't really do a good job at fixing the Yor. I would give it's Ai. an A since I can't beat it. It was a good game I liked it since I started playing at about 1.02. You guys even fixed the economic problem after getting rid of the large empire penalty by giving us enough things to buy. I would have liked to see mor
