I would also suggest having a free antivirus like Bitdefender uninstalled in a different directory just for a rainy day later. Even an uninstalled malwarebytes. Viruses don't target uninstalled software.

Well when i play the slynn i try and build a promethium starbase really quick. I guess this should be the first ship you should build. First im not sure why assemblies should be harder to build than cities since you build your population, not get it automatic. I also agree that it would be nice if the yor colony ships were smaller population.

This is most likely something in your registry youll have to google what your registry looks like, and get rid of what you dont need. Regedit i didnt learn how to do this. Next time make a folder to keep a antivirus installation file, so you can run it without updating. Viruses dont attack instalation files that arent in your downloads. Check your downloads for a free antivirus installer. If there is one there then install it in safemode do not update it, for viruses will most likely go after

Well i was thunking that mayme commonwealths should be immune to culture flipping, and cant be declared war on for the first 100 turns. Gets a free shipyard, warships, and improvements just to keep from being conquered right away.

Well without spending allocation, citizens, or civics the game seems lacking next to 4.

I would say Grand Admiral Thrawn was probably the best post Endor, and to my opinion is as good as any other character in Star Wars Heir to the Empire got enough of my attention to read the Conqourer's pride trilogy. I think Timothy Zann is probably one of the best Sci Fi writers out there.

You dont want to know how old i was when phantom menace came out. I noticed no one talked about reading Splinter of a minds eye, the prequels to the phantom menace, or a butload if books after Endor, like dozens, im just saying, and you call yourselves real Star Wars fans.

It would be nice if my planetary governance options would be global to set for when a planet is colonised to change the default with the ability to override the options on a planet per planet basis.

This is more of a question I have never seen more than two levels on my diplomats vouging with my opponents; yet, I have room for four diplomats can I raise it 4 levels with 4 diplomats if I can't why are we allowed four.

Just a couple of ideas. The ship list on the main screen. Don't get me wrong I liked having it since you introduced it a long time ago. The problem comes in when I change a ship like changing a constructor into a starbase; when, that happens the list starts over. It would be nice if instead the list started with the next ship that was in the list. Introducing uncolonized planets on the planet list on the main screen was a good idea, but introducing opponents colony's that you ha

Well i would have to ask how did lucas ruin the movies. Im guessing you mean the prequils. While i think the phantom menace, and attack of the clones were closer to star wars were not ground breaking stuff like the first three. Most people didnt like revenge of the sith while i did it was his attempt at modernising. One of JJ Abrams problems is he is not original. The first one was a lot like a new hope, while the second was in 2 parts the first was a combination of lukes training at do

I wanted to write this earlier, but it got deleted. Now as far as dungeons, and dragons buying advanced dungeons and dragons. Another words wizards of the coast buying advanced dungeons and dragons from TSR. There is something you have seriously wrong, and is not applicable as far as trademark goes. Now remember i cant remember the other names. Now when this happened toy companies wanted to make campaign settings... in this universe, but werent willing to pay rayal

Irony it was the oppressors that are the number one backers of linux. The operating system that was sponsered by a community that was there to fight the power. Most likely if Stardock didnt pick up the Trademark then there would never of been another Star Control Game with Atari taking the game with them closing there doors. Any atari game not bought, and made by someone else just went into oblivion. Oppressors or not. The problem with oppresion is you cant legally make some o

Well i for one am here because my number one game is in stardock. My concern on this is where my gaming lies. It really doesnt go beyond that. I feal that brad has treated me nicely over the years as a game developer. There is really not more than that with me. Elastan... would like there to be more. Matter of fact there little project doesnt concern me beyond right, and wrong. Elastan is right about me not changing my mind, but that doesnt really affects

I do mind either wasting production, or forgetting to shut off auto, and not building infrastructure. The solution is your way would be to check every planet every turn so as to not do the above. My compromise would be have global governor options with every planet with local governors that can override this. This would cut down on micromanagement.
I'm sorry to say that this is pretty inaccurate - not only does it not match Paul's version of events, but it doesn't match Stardock's, either. 1. I think this starts too late in the timeline. If you really want to understand the case, you need to go back to 1988, to understand the timeline for the production and release of the original Star Control games, how the UQM project came to be, and how the IP c

Ok what are you guys reading it is not what i'm reading. to recap 1. Somebody made a post that asked to for Stardock to make Galactic civilizations like Star control. Leading a lot of people talking about the game, and Stardock buying Star control; while, suggesting that Paul make his sequal just calling Ur Quan Masters, Not Star Control. This is when Paul should of announced that Stardock didn't buy anything. 2. Stardock makes Star control talking with Paul getting his approva

When dungeon and dragons bought advanced dungeon and dragons. Maybe the company swords of the coast was still in effect back then, not sure made a deal, so vendors can legally sell dungeon and dragons stuff without paying royaltys put the dungeon masters guide, the monster manual, and players guide into gnu.
Defenses are very very good.. on Assault ships and Escorts. I tend to have one or two "soak" ships with nothing but defense and one single weapon.... Then a unholy ton of capitol ships with nothing but weapons. Generally the capitol ships kill the enemy before my defensive ships run out of defense. as defenses regen fully between battles, I replace far fewer ships with this strat. [/quot
