I also play all three games and I do enjoy all of them. However, I am pretty sure, DG will more or less die in the coming months. HoN and LoL already have more players than DG and this wont change upon release. LoL is free, so no problem here, and HoN is cheap with its price of 30$ and easily has the most potential of the three. That's because it essentially is DotA 2.0 and given the popularity of DotA HoN is an easy bet. It is going to succeed. HoN will also get new heroes, items and

I am really trying to stay cool and not to rant, but it's getting harder and harder... [e digicons]X|[/e] Yesterday I uninstalled the useless beta patch and had 2 nice 3on3 games. Today, with the new patch I was not able to get a custom game going (the usual problems) and then tried a Skirmish since Frogboy had recommended doing this. Well, guess what, I got a 3on3 with 4 F***ING bots in the game. Argh!!! Here's hoping for Thursday (or whenever the patch is r
So it's a disaster because it didn't do anything for YOU? Oh, come one, don't troll. Of course it is only a disaster for me since it doesnt work for me. I didnt mean to imply anything else. After all, when I give feedback I can only speak for myself and not for anyone else. It's great that others have a positive experience with the patch, but that doesn't help me.
Let's give it till monday when the final kinks are worked out and more than just the beta-testers can try it out before we slag it off eh? No. Why? Yes, it's a beta, but all I'm saying is that the Beta didnt do anything for me. If the actual release fixes things I'm more than happy.
With all the troubles in my MP games (I have managed to play 1 [ONE!] game in more than 2 weeks now, all others lagged or never started or had discs etc.) I thought that maybe it is me who causes the problems in my games. So I tried to open the ports despite having no clue about such things at all. I now have the ports 6100-6200 labeled "filtered" instead of "closed". Is this ok? Or must it be "opened"? Thing is I don't know what else to do. I'm using Speedport W701V. I'd appr
Sorry to say, but it's just another epic fail as far as I can tell. Spent about an hour trying to get a (custom) game going without success. Yes, connection to the lobby is considerably faster, but that's the only improvement. It still takes forever to fix yellow/red pings. And when the game eventually starts it always lags like hell. [e digicons]X([/e] It's still a disaster. Actually it seemed to work even worse than before the patch...
Just had another game that was ruined by a bot. We started a 3on3, but one player dropped right at the beginning. The game was pretty close anyway, but the AI fucked it up. It is so easy to kill the AI and get gold for it, especially in the early game when you can really do a lot with that money. Admittedly the game was still fun, because we managed to be competitive despite fighting a losing battle and everyone was nice, good atmosphere - but it's so frustrating to lose a game knowing you di
I agree ! I finally got to play an actual team match online, a 2on2, only to realize that my oponents were stupid bots... ridiculous... I'd rather wait 10 minutes than play against or with AI. This is a multiplayer game, Stardock (just in case you hadnt noticed).
Sehr schön! War ebenfalls schon am warten, meine Webdesigner-Skills sind leider sehr bescheiden, sonst hätte ich es selbst gemacht... ;) Super Sache!
Get some damn servers. D'accord.
Another thing that we can look at adding is letting you set the threshold of how long you're willing to wait to be matched. That is, if you insist on 3 on 3 games, are you willing to wait 5 minutes for it to find such a game? This would surely help. I prefer 3on3, 4on4 and 5on5 and I do not really want to play anything else. So yes, I'd be willing to wait longer. At the moment there's not much waiting time for me anyway, becaus
I've finally managed to connect to a Skirmish game a few minutes ago. This was only my second match because I keep getting crashes when trying to connect 9 out of 10 times. Now that last game was a 1on1... 1on1? Isn't this supposed to be a team game? Even worse, the only other game I had managed to join (last Friday) was a 3on2. 3on2? Are you kidding me? So how does the Skirmish mode work? Is it possible to tell Demigod that I do not want to play 1on1's and 3on2's?
The poor devs need their weekends to relax I guess. Of course, releasing patches on a Friday and then go on holiday for two days is a mistake even more pathetic than a null pointer exception (whatever that is).
I've read quite a few complaints saying that Demigod multiplayer doesn't work properly in Germany. I have no idea if this is true. Fact is that I know many Germans, including me, who cannot play online, but this may just be a coincidence.
I was also able to connect to mp games yesterday, but today nothing works. I blame the patch, but I don't know.
I've tried connecting to multiplayer skirmish games a couple of times now and it seems the patch f***ed it up pretty good for me. It did work yesterday before the patch was released. I do get the error message others have reported on this forum, but last time I tried it just crashed to desktop without any error message. But I'm mainly posting this to say: DO NOT PATCH ON A FRIDAY! FFS! People want to play at the weekend and developers understandably do not wan
Maybe they are still sleeping instead of working. That is, if they work on weekends at all. [e digicons]8(|[/e]
Yep, same here. Bought the game yesterday and was able to play online. Today, no luck, the patch apparently screwed online play for me. [e digicons]x_x[/e]
