On the Trade screen, I saw this: Just FYI, Richard

Started a game playing the Navigators. Got free 150 research points from the Ideology tree, and proceeded to rack up tons of Tech. I'm sure it was way more than 150 points worth. I could be wrong but it seemed like a lot!
Howdy Dev Team, Last I looked, Bazzar is spelled Bazaar. "Tax Rat" might be appropriate but I'm pretty sure that is not what you meant. Thanks for the great job so far! I'm having a ball... Richard
Howdy Dev Team, I am really enjoying this GC4 alpha despite its expected early-stage weaknesses. One thing that GC2 hands-down beat GC3 at was lists management. Honestly, GC3 is terrible at that. * I hope this is only in the alpha, but on the Trade screen, if you expand one list, then the other closes. I would like to see all of them, or one, or two, or however many I choose. * The Ship list doesn't sort properly. The garrisoned ships are interspersed with the
I wonder if it did not take and yu have no page file.
I have a Rainmeter widget on the desktop showing Pagefile size and usage. Prior to this, I had it set to 800MB. I changed it to Windows managed and it now reads 32GB! That's nuts! I'll be dropping that back to a more reasonable size.
I think GCIV likes you to have a page file.
I first had it set to the minimum (800MB). When I upped it to 5GB, everything worked fine. I shouldn't need that much considering there is 32GB RAM installed on this computer. Go figure...
@caboose_corsair Thanks, I see it now, too.
[UPDATE] Increased Windows Page File to 5GB. No crash so far... I received an Out of Memory error at turn 3. There is 32GB of RAM installed and there were 15GB free when the game crashed. Any settings I should be looking at? Thanks, Richard
On this screen, you can see the text is not aligned properly: I uploaded this image but see nothing. It is a PNG file (774,787 bytes). How do I upload an image? Thanks, Richard
I just bought the game from Epic. It gets as far as the "building galaxy" screen, then crashes to desktop. I did make some changes to the Terran abilities and traits I did change the number of opponents, who they were, and the difficulty level I did change the graphics settings I will play with these settings and maybe I'll hit upon something useful. UPDATE: Lowering the antialiasing did the trick for me. (I have an old RX 580 GPU.)</
I am now seeing v4.2! Thank you!
I was able to confirm the same thing happened to me. I am checking with the team. Apologies for the confusion.
Thanks for looking into it for us, Richard
Odd thing is, I've checked and have the 4.2 Russian fix as the version I have but when I start the game it shows it as being 4.1...
Ditto
Hi All, The title says it all. What do I have to do to make Steam download this new version? Thanks, Richard
Mine still shows v4.1. The opt-in shows "...v4.2 Russian Fix". How can I get v4.2? Thanks...
@ rap33042 bit late now but when I duplicated the civs I think I also changed their ship style to something different
Well, thanks anyway. I appreciate the help, Richard
Maybe you can contact the stardock staff for help, or gather the error design files and upload them on dropbox. If the two options do not help. Try to use the windows clean-up tool(or other system clean up softwear), find all GC3 files in your hard disk partition(or any file include the game name, and<span style="color: #ffffff; text-decoration: underline; --darkreader-inline-color: #ff
@OldSpider, @TheTargetMaster I uninstalled the game, emptied the GC3Crusade folder, and re-installed it. Everything now works again. Thanks for your help, Richard
A year or so ago I had that problem for no obvious reason. I think I fixed it by starting the game and waiting until it got to the main menu, then clicking on the Resync Mods button at the bottom of the screen. It will take a minute or two to finish, so be patient. If that doesn't work, exit the game and go into your Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade directory. Rename the folder Designs to DesignsOFF and the folder
@TheTargetMaster, I tried your solution. The in-game ships match the Civs, but I'm still getting those blamed error messages during each game start. Any other ideas? Thank you, Richard
I deleted them from within GC3. (That's at the point of starting a new game.) I unsubscribed from everything on Steam. I have even gone so far as to uninstall then reinstall the game. I am still getting the errors regarding no ship designs for Civ . 12 of them now... Very frustrating, Richard
I had this same issue, I solved it by duplicating the affected civs and deleting the old versions.
Thank you for your reply. One of the Civs listed in an error was a faction Called something-something-Tellar. I can't find that Civ anywhere on Steam or Nexus. I would gladly install it if for no other reason than to get rid of the error messages. I would do the same for all the others, too. There must be
GC3 can no longer find the ship design files for the various Civs. Every time I load up a game, I have to close numerous error messages telling me that the base ship design will be used for all those Civs. I tried removing all the Civs I had downloaded from Steam but that didn't help. How can I restore all the ship designs, including the ones for the Civs that come with the game by default? UPDATE 06-15-2021 I have reinstalled the game but that didn't help.
