So their race trait is making them go bananas? Because now they are extremely excessive while AI are being limited to expansion, malevolent AIs seem to adjust fine due to their moral bonus through ideology.
Lightbanee
I was playing an Immense map and it is stunting AI development, out of the factions only the Dregin and Krynn were expanding, the rest were tiny. The Kyrnn went on an expansion rampage and took 60 planets by turn 250. Can't compete which such rampant expansion
*sigh* that damned battle viewer, I wish it could be disabled it has never properly worked for me.
New system really hurts new colonies, while barely effecting older colonies. -20% of a pop 5 colony is much less painful than -4 base morale. For a built up colony, that can be offset by a single building. Also renders +% building irrelevant. +100% of zero is zero.
Easily overcome by the Terran's bonus of "first building instantly constructed" which would make a player Ter
4. doesn't appear to be a bug, if they defy a vote I think they get booted out of the council
Heavy would probably relate to heavy gravity or heavy air pressure. Unstable could relate to either unstable weather activity meaning planet wide super storms that frequently impact the planet or geologically unstable with highly active volcanoes and unstable tectonic activity spawning frequent earthquake events
I hadn't considered that pirates were having an impact on the civ growth. Civ 5 has issues with that, on the difficulty level I play the AI sometimes becomes broken because it loses settlers. In one game I played my neighbour only had 2 cities but I found 3 of their settlers in barbarian camps near by, which ended up killing them as I was able to very quickly outpace them
hopefully, things that didnt crash or at least half worked are failing all the time now
No techs are frozen until you reach the era they are in. Its part of the prerequisite check you need the techs leading up to it and be in the correct era
With this patch you've made it crash my computer, first time its done that. So it went from an improvement to making it crash....
Some planets start with high quality and can't make use of it
Altarians have major tech and influence bonuses. culture. ascension and research are the best ways of winning
yeah because the same bugs were present as in beta 5 I just stopped its not worth it to keep doing the same things, but now there is another new patch i'll start up a new game and maybe the persistent battle viewer bug is finally fixed. If that one serious bug is fixed the rest can be dealt with post launch, this is the one crucial bug that must be fixed or your review score will tank
And some of the modifiers have vanished for no apparent reason. Its very likely a large empire bug, you captured one planet but then everything collapsed. So its quite possible that there is something wrong with the expansion calculation and its disrupting all the other bonuses you have.
Large Empire Penalty -210% that is what its telling me there.
I also think about placing the capital of the homeworld. It suffers with the same placing problems as any other colony capital, and besides, it is interesting for anyone who plays as the Terran Alliance, so that your capital won't appear in crazy locations on Earth (cough Siberia cough)
Lol I know right my Terran capital ended up in the middle of the ocean some where
Yeah, been happening to me since Beta 4, sound drops out and crap. It goes with the persisting battle viewer bug making the game unplayable
I've shied away from building any kind of influence building, its just far too easy you to win with it. Even if you disable the culture victory, it comes a time that you will win anyway through conquest or expansion.
Really? Because I just played a game yesterday and it was still yellow
Yeah there is something seriously wrong with the battle viewer because ever since it was installed i've been unable to play this game properly
That wouldn't be a pernament fix though
I think the invasion/battle viewer screen bugs are memory related issues. Now that beta 6 has significantly reduced the map's resource drain it doesn't happen all the time now. Only after a while.
- When entering Battle Viewer... Game didn't crash but it froze up and wouldn't do anything else. You could hear the music in the background. Beta 6 has improved on it but its still here, dragging the game down from an 8/10 to a 4/10, you can't enjoy the game when a crucial part of it keeps failing.
For to have true relevance it needs to be that you cannot trade them or receive them as gifts from other factions, that just makes it only slightly more difficult. I built dreadnoughts that have all possible tech combinations, I traded with the Yor and Dregin who had the other specializations I was missing
Yeah I never thought of that, that needs to be nerfed, such as tiles can only be powered by 1 power plant, no stack ups.
