Even with my 4-core i7 processor, it sounds like that's where the choke point will be when the game is ready for release.
Games today are already attempting to break the 32-bit limitations. A poll is pointless. It's not going to be in GalCiv3 no matter if everyone on teh forums says "yes" We are way too late in the dev cycle to be throwing in what would be a core feature of the game. TC has VAST implications as to how you design the game at large. Research, ship design, race balance, etc. ANy idea you could simply just 'tack it on' at this point in development because of some magical poll is foolish.

Ok we're really not supposed to do this but, here are a couple of tracks we're working on. Not final but sets the overall tone for the game Terran Theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfVsfOSbJY0 Dregin Theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbGkxcY7YFU Don't tell frogboy on me [e digicons]-_-[/e]

They mentioned it was going to be Beta3-ish at 12:43 in the stream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdSweJhGFNU&list=UUUCMPd9b70oNX51guypaYhw&feature=player_detailpage#t=736

Frogboy, have you played the card game Titanium Wars? The way the fleet combat works is kinda interstesting. Also I'm curious your take on whether going pure DX11 is a good/bad idea? Are there benefits to going to pure DX11 (such as pipeline optimzatoins) that make up for the deficit that for some inexplicable reason people are running their PC rigs on 5 year old hardware. I'm actually a bit angry the Steam Hardware Survey gives such poor data on DX11 vs DX10 us

L
Why would it be limited to architecture if a rollback to a previous driver works?
It can be just like in my BO2 example above.

Jack, I assume from the screen shot you posted that this happens pretty much as soon as you start the game? I played 4 or 5 turns, tried zooming way in and way out, and still didn't see the lines. It's important to post the video card. Mostly because I remember in B02, it had this really really weird problem where people had clipping issues with horses sinking into the sand and other things. But it ONLY manifested itself on GTX400 cards. Which was weird given that the GTX400 and 500s are almost identical architecturally. So far we have the GTX600s as a correlative factor. Hopefully others can post their specs and see if the issue impacts other Nvidia lines as well.<
Plase post your specific video card. As it may be related to a series or a specific architecture. Without the specific video card you have it'll be hard for Stardock to track down the problem.
Is anyone else running dual monitor setups? Im wondering if it's related to the dual-monitor, or the gtx drivers in general. I see Lucky has a GT620 and I have a GTX670. Can others please post your video cards? I may be an issue taht's relegated to a specific 'series' like the 600s, or it may be related to a speciifc architecture (Fermi/Kepler/etc) So please post your Nvidia card that you're running so the devs can correlate the data properly
Note this is reference to 340.52 Nvidia drivers I'm doing some testing now on my GTX670 Test 1: I did an upgrade of the drivers to 340.52. I have a lot of difficulty replicating the issue. I can see the issue 'blip' sometimes but I can't amke it stay generally speaking. I find that the one semi-consistent way is to use "Camera view" 1 and then go in and out of teh Main Menu. I 'feel' like Bloom is doing something ver
THe lights.... so pretty....... Some quick questions since I"m probably going to miss the stream. 1) The wording of the post seems to imply that we're basically jumping to Beta for the end of the month. Thus likely there will not be an additional alpha build? 2) Will there be ample notice both here and on the Steam Discussion hub about the timeframe of when the Beta will begin. 3) Will there be ample notice before the $100 tier becomes unavailalbe T

There are various unscrupulous tools one may employ to unlock achievements which I do not recommend you use. If you do, I will relish mocking you on teh Steam VAC Discussion Hub.
Seriously try a Windows System Restore point Otherwise if you're getting that level of corruption, a format is likely your only option.
I think functionally it's more to prevent the 'lets send all our ships around our homeworld to make it lterally impossible for anyone to launch a ground assault' Sure you can always out produce the opponent. but is it really fun to have to spend turn after turn pumping out and sending ships to the 'final' home world in a MP game just because your friend is trying to troll you?
I'm not sure what the fuss is about? I mean Civ games have always had 'eras' and that's worked out fairly ok for that series.
