Hello, I've been a Fences Pro user for a long while (First with OD subscription, and then I purchased a license separately when OD ran out). Will I be eligible for a free upgrade to Fences 2? I sure hope so.

I was going to post a new thread, but a reply to this one will probably suffice: As a new player, will Sins: Rebellion offer all the features found in Trinity? Which of the two would you recommend to someone that is interested but not very skilled with strategy games?

In my experience, quite a few developers who sold games BEFORE distributing on Steam gave complementary Steam copies/codes to those users that purchased the non-Steam licenses. So I reject your argument about it being an impossibility, as it seems like the major reason is simply your unwillingness to provide this service. Which is fine by me (perhaps there is a fee to Valve associated with it making it financially restrictive to port thousands of existing licenses, I don't know),

Hey Stardock, I'm not sure if this currently possible, but I would very much like to permanently associate GalCiv 2 Complete with Steam. I've owned the game for many years, and one of the reasons it doesn't see as much play as it should is because I really hate having multiple digital distribution services installed. If there's a way to do this, I would love to take advantage of it. Thanks!

I also got a refund early on (to one day purchase it again, hopefully). Can someone tell me more about the expansions (content, pricing, etc.)? Seems like a good incentive to repurchase.
Quoting fatindian, reply 375 When did I say they don't have a right to post 1-star reviews? And when did I say that not liking Steam is not a legitimate opinion? I'm just saying it discredits the entire review system when people give blanket 1-star reviews without trying out the product. It is well-known that the game is a Steamworks title, so why go out of your way to protest that with a 1-star review on Amazon?<b
Quoting fatindian, reply 369 The mere fact that you give any credence at all to Amazon tech-related product reviews just tells me how informed your opinion is. Have you read the reviews? There's a 1-star review protest because of Steam. The same was true for Elemental, just tons of 1-star reviews from people that never even bothered to play the game. You can get a lot of info from Amazon reviews if you j

Game breaking bugs and over-simplification are the most common complaints. That's the impression that I have gotten as well and decided to skip it as well. Shame, I would have thought with 2 turn based games coming out this year that I would have spent 100s of hours

No, I never said that. I said that Elemental would have gotten a better reception from critics if it was called "Sid Meier's Elemental: War of Magic". It's a subtle but important distinction. Like I said, I've never played Civ 5 - in fact, my computer refuses to run it

I'm with you, OP. I preordered a day before release, and got my refund. You should get a refund, but it isn't your right to get one, since you agreed to the terms of the sale when you preordered the game. Still, considering the release problems and bugs, I think a refund is justified even for those that got it 90 days ago.

Just to put things in perspective, my system can play games like Borderlands, Bioshock, Fallout 3, and StarCraft II without a problem, but it can't play Civ 5, a turn-based game. Now tell me there's not something wrong with that picture.
Oh you can't play it?

They aren't going to make you manage an insane amount of units because you don't need to anymore. And yet I heard this game was more focused on combat than the games were previously. I am not sure what that means exactly, but a 1000 turns of war af

I have been hearing this debate for what seems like 10 years and have come to one conclusion, SD has gotten it right with fleets/parties. It shows they have learned a lesson from all the great 4x games of old. In MOO2 (the greatest 4x game imho), two fleets fought with a combination of arms, whereas in the Civ series, stacks fight one unit at a time with real cap on number of attacks/defen
