I'm liking the working planet screen look :) Plus, the major highlight is Adam's ship. I cannot wait to see another one for the next dev stream.

Can't wait to see what you are bringing on this fine day. Edit: Here are some questions... There has been some discussion on the forums about the Borders of each civilization. The sphere (blob) of influence being seen as your territorial border vs. a cultural border. Are there going to be any changes on how Galactic Civilization is going to deal with the borders? In regards to the shipyards, are there still more models being added to each of the civilization
I'd like to play a wildcard (if you will). Does Minecraft look dated? Reduced 90%Original 627 x 345
Yes. Minecraft started with dated graphics. Does a pixel art game have dated graphics? Yes. If someone wrote a game with the old CGA graphics, just because it is new or popular, does not mean the graphics are not dated or one cannot enjoy the game. The rendering of the graphics may be new, but the grap
I see them more as cultural borders, in which one has political influence. One issue that Galactic Civ suffers is that the genre norm is fixed borders any intrusion must be seen as an act of war and thus the opposing player entering your borders must declare war first or have a treaty otherwise they cannot enter your lands. This is no where near the way things should be done. If someone with an army enters your land, you can declare war on them, they do not need to declare war f
3. I know you've already played with UnitGroupingType for LH 1.7 so my comments may be off a bit but can you make the UnitGroupingType modder-friendly? Pretty hard to do anything w/ them at the moment: I can't even change the DisplayName >Party 300 Are you talking about how you cannot change the UnitGroupingType from the mod
Influence boundaries are not national territory. They are where your culture has spread in a rough sense. Inhabitants in these areas tend to follow your ideas of thinking and generally tend to follow the social trend of that society (who has influence). The only real national boundaries in GalCiv are the planets themselves. If you feel that entering your zone of influence as a declaration of war, then declare war on that individual. Otherwise, If they enter your borders and you don
Great stuff as usual... Will the shipyard have a phantom ship being constructed when it is being built. You know a un-constructed ship slowly being built with sparks and stuff on the main map. Giving an idea of what is being built... at least tiny, medium, large ship. Just a flavor construction type.
I'm liking the adventure setting your are producing here.
Quoting GFireflyE, reply 64 Could we have more use from all the little extras collected along the way? I'm thinking of wolf pelts, skrath skins, love notes, etc. It would be really nice if they created little Easter eggs or items or something. This is a really interesting idea. Let me ask Derek.
There is a way of doing this via a quest. If one were to spawn a very specific quest (possibl

You only have to pay to save the game in space (while flying). You can save the game for free while docked.
Nice Kryo, you have ended his despair. ;)
I think this is good news. I think you would receive a better reception with these other features included vs. absent. Are you adding more races before the beta or with the beta will these races be included?
I've been fighting this temptation.... why do you post things like this...
Very nice list for these hours of work.
I think it is a subtle hint on things... but he is not allowed to say. ;)
I like the oscillate tool, as it allows me to build moving pipes up and down to look like an engine. It can be difficult as all animation stuff can be.
Well, I bought the map pack, and it turns out that I already have everything that was in the pack. I do not remember buying it before, but it appears that I have given Stardock a $5. gift, meaning they got the fiver, and I got nothing. Oh well. I can confirm that the maps do work in Fallen Enchantress.
There was an old bug that gave the map-pack for free to many people who did not purchase it. Apparently, you we
Don't forget to use your seta drive, speeds up space travel when you are doing menial travelling. As you get more ships to your fleet, you can set them to trade and travel while you go shooting pirates and starting wars. The early game is rather slow, but as you explore and upgrade your stuff it gets better. If you are looking for the most dog fighting capability and ship flying you want to put yourself in a fully upgraded M5. That will travel quick and get you to place to place,
The X-universe, I think I've logged roughly 300+ hours in X2 and 300+ hours in X3... They are rather expansive and in the beginning it is a space sim and then the game shifts into a management sim afterward (although you can still fight around). X-Rebirth tried to keep the space flight sim throughout the game at the cost of management towards the end. Hence, the large rebuff from the fans of the X-series. (Also, can't forget that rebirth removed the aspect of piloting different ships
PS. Yes a popup if a player leaves a design without saving is definitely needed, and will be in for Beta.
Nice. The other bit about the proportional scaling is mostly to scale proportionally from the users presets vs. the original object definitions preset. i.e. you drew an object that is twice as long as tall, then I modify this object that is half as long as tall. If I select proportional scaling, it would revert the objec
Can somebody explain how to post an image please? THNX
You need to put the image on another site something like imageshack or dropbox, copy the URL and use the insert image button. There put your URL to your picture in the spot where it says image URL.
Also, would like a pop-up when you press cancel on the ship editor... lost the ship I created above by accident ;)
Note: I would hope that when I move from the design tag from equip to design mode that the default screen is not the hulls, but the parts. Not looking to restart when I'm in the middle of putting in equipment.
