it depends upon the motherboard maker(and will be documented in the motherboard MANUAL), but a fairly common rating is the darker blue being usb3, but have no idea about the green and red usb ports. btw just did a quick google for usb socket colour code, and fount a wikipeadia link that might help ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PC_System_Design_Guide#Color-coding_scheme_for_connec

the trinity is the OLD vanilla, entrenchment and diplomacy expansions, AND after that the rebellion came out as a stand alone 'expansion' that does not need the older expansions and has some DLC available for it. to my very limited knowledge ther is no single package of the complete sins trinity & rebellion & rebellion DLC's. what to buy depends upon what you want to do, if it is play with friends, then find out which expansion they have/use and get that, if it is
the quickest way to have a empire snadbox type game in sins is a custom map where only one of the two or more home planets IS connected to the rest of the planets eg have two or more home planet starts for each of the empires, BUT only ONE (suggest the first) is connected by wormholes to the other planets and the EXTRA home planet starts han have a couple of ISOLATED from the rest of the map planets and NO connection to the stars OR wormholes (btw wormholes only connect to (one or two ) wormh
the trick for the random militia is to set the planet owner to 'RandomMilitia' at the planet, but regarding at unspecified planets, I am not sure other than modifying the galaxyscenariodef's militia groups to include a colony frigate/capital. harpo the ghost NON-subscriber
if the planet is not one you want as a starting planet, then the spawn condidtion should be 'always' and the planet owner should be 'noowner', and for owned planetsthen the planet owner should be planet owner. harpo the ghost NON-subscriber

I did look into modifying the mod updater to do this, BUT the shear number of changes(both additions AND deletions (and also moving sections of the entity around)) in each of the types of enties made it almost impossible to automate. THAT is WHY I said it was a manual task. harpo, the NON-subscribing ghost

you will have to re-create the mod using the current rebellion reference files. it would be significantly easier to just update the mod for the current entrenchment/diplomacy and play it in entrenchment/diplomacy Harpo, the NON-subscriber
now all I have to do is find out which download is the one that was causing the type mismatch and exterminate it harpo, the NON-subscriber
you need more planets, the limit is (# of planets)/4, so if you have 3 or fewer planets you can NOT make a superweapon, if you have 4 planets in your empire you can build ONE, if you have 8 then you can build 2 and so on harpo, the NON-subscriber
it would help toknow what operating system, antivirus, antimalware programs are on the computer(s) that get this issue, I have just tested the program in my win7 32bit(avast av, malwarebytes, iobit lavasoft adaware antimalware) general use machine and it runs properly. I also have re-compressed my entire working set of the sins utilities(40mb) and am currently uploading to my dropbox. and will add a link when the upload finishes.(this includes the map updater 2.exe that I just tested the oper

[quote who="CMalcheski" reply="14" id="3539147"] Your article may have been very clear and concise but it is also very wrong. You would do well to tone down what you think you know and begin learning a little bit. I have been developing a replacement for the DirectX math library, in 100% pure hand-coded assembly. And I am seeing first hand the horrors therein. This is not an optimized library. It is a travesty. I am consistently seeing speed impro
[quote who="Theroson" reply="6" id="3538670"] THANKS ALOT GUYS this info helped me A LOT with my project (vasari ships y must you be so detailed ) unfortunately i was not able to do the vasari loyalist titan (which sucked as I really liked that titan) *DUE to the fact* that the mesh file needed a lot of patching to be done and unfortunately the 3d printer SUCKED when you wanted something small but incredibly complicated due to the details to be printed [e digicons]:pout:
error 13 is a type mismatch error (was written in vb6), it might be something in the targetsinsver.txt (which tells my utilities the sins versions to look for(and I had forgot to alter the lines that read debug (used during testing of the utilities only) to not have debug (note not case sensitive) (you could delete the 'e' in the debug lines and this will force the utilities into non-testing mode))) it might also be caused by errors in a map that is being accessed or an extend
odd, the 'beta' map updater is still in my dropbox, but a while back the dropbox changed the way links work, and I forgot to update the links on older posts. here is the link to the zip. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8023186/sins%20modding%20utilities/sins%20rebel%20map%20updater%20v3.zip harpo, the NON-subscriber ps I still H

Heroes are only spawned by the special command center building at your homeworld, this building cannot be built. If you make your own m
if it is a rebellion game you are wanting to play mods in then the path is under the documents\my Games\rebellion path (btw the documentsis the LIBRARY documents), but for vanilla sins and entrehcment/diplomacy expasnsions, the instructions in the OP ARE correct and accurate. if the checksum for the mod is ZERO then you have one or more folders too many in the path, the gameinfo and other folders should be only ONE folder down from the mods-v### folder Harpo, the NON-subscriber
if the mesh files could be imported into a cad or modeling program that can output STL or AMF files then the stl/amf files CAN be printed with the slicing/printing programs that are already in use. btw I do have one (at present(still waiting for the other two kickstarters)) 3d printer working Harpo, the NON-subscriber
the basic info is mostly usable, BUT you should use the rebellion reference files, not entrenchment, vanilla or diplomacy reference files, and then there is the issue of 2gb ram use before crash to desktop by the iron engine so you end up only having some of the extra races. harpo, the NON-subscriber
my wild and wooly suggestion is a TEXT file in your documents folder named along the idea of game codes or name of game codes and paste the install keys into the text file. then all you have to do is remember that they text file contains the install keys for the game(s) Harpo, the NON-subscriber
