For future reference, would attaching Process Monitor to the Elemental process and submitting a trace be useful?
Impulse is not related to Elemental other than as the download manager. But thanks for sending the data. This is extremely helpful.
Doh! Impulse is listed directly above elemental in Process Explorer, and darn it, I grabbed the wrong properties sheet without realizing it. Too late now :(
I did get an actual "Out of Memory" error. Files below: Debug.err, Prefs.ini, DXDiag.txt (zipped) Elemental-generated Crash Dump Screenshot: <img src="http://home.comcast.net/~lukefencejumper/elementalbeta/1z4_OOM.JPG" alt="Out of Memory Error" width="1704" hei
Just finished a quick test using beta 1Z4, selecting the option to leave peacefully now seems to work the way I would expect it to. (Pop-up goes away, and my soveriegn moves out of the opponent's territory)

I experienced the same problem in Beta 1Z3, walking into another sovereign's teritory gets me stuck in a loop. Does the option to "Leave your lands peacefully" require a certain Diplomacy tech to be researched or some other pre-requisite?
The site to submit crash reports wants me to login. It didn't use to do that.
Same here... Hopefully it's a minor issue, I found fogbugz to be easier to use than posting a forum topic.
I would like to see Planetary Defense buildings and abilities actually do something - as best I can tell, their effects aren't working. Putting planetary defense structures on my planets feels cool... until I get attacked and shouting at the screen "Didn't you even count those structures and bonuses?!?"
And how many corrupt mayors have we had? This is taking the worst possible case of what happened in the past and saying that will happen to the rest of the U.S. if liberal policies/public assistance are enacted in the present or the future. I can hear my college professors screaming 'logical fallacy!' Is the problem of Detroit a democrat vs. republican thing? I believe, as Mumble stated, that white flight was the largest contributing factor. Combined then with

I thought I'd start a thread about question pertaining to FogBugz. http://fogbugz.stardock.com/default.asp?pg=pgPublicEdit My first question is: For the field marked "Computer", what information (specifically) should we enter?

You need to get 195.62 on the Nvidia web site.
I wouldn't recommend anything newer than 191.07 yet, lots of bugs, and if your motherboard has an nf200 bridge chip in, the newer drivers could cause over-voltage problems. I'm using 190.62 myself and it works very will with GalCiv.
In the latest version of Twilight of The Arnor 2.03, it does display research bonuses from rings, but not industry bonuses in the summary tab for me - it just doesn't show where it's coming from. If you go to the Details screen for the planet, however, it should be a little more clear.
The influence generated by each planet will always be different than what is displayed on your abilities page by design. You can check out the wiki on the subject here: https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Influence Basically, the number shown on you planet's screen for influence is affected by the amount of population on the planet, any structures on the planet that affect influence, and your racial modifier (the number shown on your abilities screen) Your racial modifie
I guess I was thinking of just adding a Space Balls race and tech tree to play as or against. I can just imagine the dialogue... [e digicons][/e] I have no clue what the ships should look like... other than a space Winebago and a Giant Maid with a Vacuum Cleaner.
Thanks foxthree. I didn't expect anyone to create a new mod just for me, I figured someone would have done a SpaceBalls mod already.
Anyone know of a good Space Balls themed mod? Search doesn't seem to be my friend.
Thank you Cari! I know you've been wanting to re-visit the movement code for a long time, and I really appreciate you sharing this information. Not boring at all! Quite the opposite. I quite enjoy reading posts like these, and I hope you and the other Devs continue to have the time and patience to write them in the future.
Sovereign/Offspring Editor: We know we'll be able to customize the looks of our Sovereigns when we start a new game, but, it would be cool to have that interface available to be able to customize our Sovereign's offspring or heroes the same way when they join us or are born. I'm still wishing I could get Jing's photo-hosting working without having to pay for it. It's a great program, if they could just get the hosting side more reliable.
Here's a mock-up, I wasn't able to get Jing to host the image, so I'm doing it the old-fashioned way:
Kryo - Specifics for improving the interface: If there is a pop-up notification, don't let it block relevent information behind it. Possible solutions: Have the screen camera center on the event, but have the pop-up notification appear on the left-hand side of the screen so we can see what's going on. Allow pop-up notifactions to be draggable windows - allow us to move the windows out of the way to see Allow pop-u
