This is in Retribution - with or without patches or beta opt ins... The Pragmatic ability to stave off conflict for 50 turns seems broken. Used it, 6 turns later AI declares war. Also, the ability to Aid Research is non existent - even at turns 450+ luceo non uro
Only one Military Academy?! Yikes! <p style="color: #000000; font-family: " segoe ui",arial,sans-serif; font-size: 16px; fo
Solid state hard drive crashed, replaced it - reinstalled all games and all Steam games launch no problem - except GCIII "Unable to create GCIII: intrigue data folder" is all i'm getting after the launcher crashes... any ideas how to proceed? Reinstalled all the DLC's etc. Thanks
Yeah. Generally need about a 100 turns to even begin to fend off warmongering AIs, including the 50 turns where no one declares war on you bonus. Best games I've played, I made it to about turn 100 before I met up with other AIs and had saved the 50 benefit to use. Gave me a fighting chance to fend off their massive wave attacks and then crank up the war machine to push them back and seize a few of their systems. luceo non uro
Now that's cool! Thank you!! luceo non uro
When a new turn begins, resource amounts are adjusted to show the new turn's total. If the market is visited and resources are purchased, the purchased resource total loses everything except for the amount purchased. Example:, mined Durantium generates 40 per turn and that resource amount is shown at a new turn's kick off. Make a trip to the market and purchase 15, suddenly the Durantium resource total does not show 55, it only shows 15, effectively losing 40. The only way around it i
Haven't seen this happen yet - though - reckon it's possible the civilization in question was conquered at the same incredible moment a colony ship of theirs colonized a planet? luceo non uro
Just splurged and doubled RAM from 16GB to 32GB (at a heck of a deal including 2 day shipping). Works fantastic! luceo non uro
Just installed the additional 16 GB - now cruising at 32 GB total. Running like a dream! luceo non uro
Currently running the incredible AData XPG Z1 16GB (2x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 for RAM. As we all know GCIII has the ability to devour RAM like candy! :) Reckon picking up an additional 16GB would be plenty? luceo non uro
The mercenaries help out a lot - especially in early/mid game - specifically the mercs that increase your cash, trade, research, raw production, military production, manufacturing and the "Swayer" that instantly flips any non capitol planets to your empire. Give it a shot - it's well worth it. luceo non uro

Yeah, it wigged me out too. As I had just researched the +4 morale tech and had happy buildings on my planets and my morale rate was fairly decent by then - I just hit the 'give me a moment' and began researching the ladder to Interstellar Republic. Not sure what all happens when you create a New Commonwealth - I just knew I didn't care for the mini me that appeared. luceo non uro
Time travel. Hop back to an earlier save and ensure the Prime Minister's ship is out of danger. luceo non uro
No confusion on this end. If you score enough points on say Pragmatic to pick up an ideology trait/perk/advancement - and you don't. You wait a bit. The ideology tab indicates you have one available. Not longer after, say you are able to pick up a Malevolent trait/perk/advancement - your ideology tab indicates you have 2 available. When you pick one - doesn't matter which - the other disappears, i.e., your ideology tab shows zero available where just seconds before - it showed two and y
No mis clicks on this. Try it. When you colonize your first few planets and are awarded an ideology choice, let's say Benevolent. Save it - don't pick one right away - save it. Continue colonization with different ideologies until you have another choice in - say Pragmatic. Go take your Pragmatic pick. Vola! Your Benevolent perk that you didn't instantly utilize has simply disappeared. In other words - use them or lose them. So, if you want to use the Pragma
It does disappear Rhonin - as if it was never there. Essentially, if you save a choice to use at a strategic moment and take advantage of a new choice in a different ideology - poof! Your previous choice disappears as if it were never there. luceo non uro
So your choice disappears if you don't use it instantly? luceo non uro
You know how it is. You score a Pragmatic choice and since you have yet to select the War Free 50 turns option - you save it to use when your neighbors begin to cast their envious eyes upon you. In the interim, you score Benevolent and/or Malevolent choices and use them. Except now, your Pragmatic choice that you have carefully saved is simply...gone. Even worse, the cost to achieve another is higher as if you indeed used your disappeared choice. Anyone else notice this bug? H
The tooltip, when you hover over your Balance (on the Topbar) actually displays your GDP as Net Income which is giving you the impression you should be gaining BC per turn when you are not, just a bit of miss information atm (untill they change Net Income to um GDP).
Thanks very Horemvore! Hope they fix it asap. luceo non uro
24% then bumped up to 34% luceo non uro
First off, influence really grows - fast! 2nd up, when your economy shows you gross, say 342 per turn and your spending is 109, yet you are in the red and not gaining those credits per turn. Missing something here? luceo non uro
Only your computer's ability to handle them all. [e digicons][/e] luceo non uro
Any colony with a military academy can create legions, when legions are completed, they are stationed in a reserve - which transports draw from when transports leave the shipyard (prompt pops up). Generals provide legions to the reserve and when generals are promoted to supreme generals do as well. luceo non uro
