I've played the 1.0 version and its clearly a 20 - 30 game at that level. What about 1.07 is that worth $50? I have a feeling elemental will fizzle quickly like demigod and in a few months I'll be able to get it for $20

update = broken game now bah... impulse is cranky with something won't update itself and the manual DL from the front page DL saection keeps saying its corrupt when i DL it. Don't have a problem with any other game. so I'm kind of SOL right now. Mirrorsaw It is a 3v3 game first he leaves @ 80% health a 2 on 2 situation I die. 2nd he goes afk for a couple of minutes. Then just randomly leaves 10 minutes later, about mid match could go either way. Luckily the AI was better and we won the 3V2.

yeah I thought about that due to DOS attacks and all, but posted anyway just incase there was a common route + hiccup. I'm sure GPG or even SD could come up with some basic app to configure packet size and test connections. maybe through 8 proxies / geographically different SD,GPG servers with mock demigod packets. Something to shed light on the problem would be nice.

i just discovered specialized favor items after like 20 games [e digicons]:grin:[/e] they should include some kind of tutorial. as for reading the manual lets be honest when was the last time a game came with a manual that was useful? Homeworld last I recall so I have been ignoring manuals for years now. I would love for games to have useful manuals again.

since the hard part creating an engine was already done. Putting models/animations and stats in are considerably less work then making the game. after 2/4 free ones 1$/per demigod

its not nics, routers, p2p throttling, or modems. It has to be ISPs and netcode. We are kind of powerless at this point.

from a long term perspective i think they should support demigod. I am seriously considering getting elemental but neglected to pre order it after taking hours to get into one 3v3 match with my friends. If they do well with demigod i can be assured they will do right with elemental. they need to fix this game to keep face with the newer customers otherwise GPG's and Stardock's growth will be stunted. i am honestly confused
its clear they released incomplete and way to soon. The side effects of that will be a quick death for the community. Unless the game pulls a 180 in a month or so I dont think it will be a strong game for long.
also side note annoyance. I cant use the keypad when chatting.

I have a teryaon modem and a 8800 GT which is similar to the 9xxx series. I know games like quake wars had a weird features along the lines that ping affected FPS. I also know my sim speed would drop to 1 and 2 on 4 month old vid drivers after i updated them I was running at 5 no problem.
