Hey Richard, The folder I refer to should be on the C: drive inside the Users folder. So if your username is Richard it would be in the following folder: C:\Users\Richard\AppData\Local\Stardock\DesktopX\WidgetCache\[widget folder you're having problems with] If it's not Richard, just change Richard above to whatever your username is. And zubaz - yep, it was resolved by this but I'm not gone. I have this thread watched so I'm notified whenever a reply is po

Hi Mike! Thanks a lot! That did it! One thing I'd like to point out in case anyone else runs into this and is using Vista the folder is a little different: Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Stardock\DesktopX\WidgetCache\[widget folder you're having problems with] Thanks again!

Has anyone else run into the situation where their weather widget just disappears? And if so, have you found a way to bring it back? I'm using the Shadow widget and at some point during the night it disappeared. It's still running but it isn't visible. I had this problem in the past running XP and eventually gave up and just used a different weather widget. I'm running Vista now and this is the first time it's happened to me on Vista. Sure, I could just switch to a different widget but I like th

I'm running v1.5 of ODP under Vista Build 5600 and the systray is refusing to show up in the dock for me. SDMcp *IS* running but I'm still not having any luck getting the systray to show in my docks. Any ideas?

I figured out the problem! I had disabled WINDOWS messenger from running and just had MSN messenger running. THAT was the problem.

Yes, using the default docklet. I've tried unloading WinFX and WB to see if it was maybe one of those creating some weird conflict, but I still get the crash as soon as I try to add it. I'm using Live Beta as well but was also having the problem with 7.5. The next step I guess is to completely uninstall OD+ and try reinstalling it. It's not THAT big of a deal, but it would be nice to have accurate icons representing my online state.

I've finally got around to setting up ObjectDock on my new computer (I've only had it since August ) and am running into a problem with the MSN Docklet. Whenever I try to add it to a dock, OD+ crashes out. I did a search through the forum and found one reference that someone replied to stating that it was because the docklet was designed for v6.1 of MSN Messenger but

That's definitely a possibility. I'm at home now and checking the settings and the two settings are: Use Wincustomize Web browser for internet links Use default Windows Web browser for internet links This, of course, is under the 'Web Browser' section of the General Tab in settings. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBrowse

I seem to be having a slight problem with the WinC Browser. I have it set to have any links open in my default browser. When I click on any links they open up in IE. The problem is that IE is not my default browser - Firefox is. Has anyone else run into this? Have I just managed to mangle a &#115election somewhere? I am using the latest version of WinC browser from Stardock Central. Thanks!

A long time ago here on WinCustomize, there was discussion of a pretty cool computer workstation that supported 3 monitors, rotated according to the sun, fresh airflow, ergonomics, etc. I searched through all the news articles on the main page and couldn't find a reference to it. Does anyone remember this discussion? More importantly, anyone still have a link to the website that sells them??? Thanks, Rob

The one thing that caught my eye in the description of their plan is the requirement of a mandatory 5-mile no-fly zone around Manhattan. Then it goes on to say that the escape plan will be aided by using helicopters from the various levels. I take it the no-fly only pertains to planes and not 'copters... And while I'm not familiar with the Manhattan area, isn't a couple major airports within 5 miles of Manhattan??? <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsID=

I too have my own site: http://www.robbierobb.com It's a pretty much plain forward site: blog, pics, etc. I've got a couple other things up there that I've quickly written in the past (Rants, the beginning of a series that I never wrote anymore own ) I'm actually just in the process of moving it over to a different host. Right now I'm using the Rogers servers here in Ontario. I'll soon be mo

I just recently went with Hosttyme.com. They have a really nice pacakge that works out to under USD$10/month and offers a ton of features: 250MB storage/6GB Traffic/PHP/MySQL/20 sub-domains/POP3/more... Check them out. They're using H-Sphere's Control Panel v2.1 for the front-end. I had to guess where Perl was installed since I couldn't find mention of it anywhere on their site but it was in the default spot... <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsID=913"

One other thing I'll recommend here as it worked for me in the past with my SkinBrowser problems (I couldn't even get the thing to START!!! ) is to delete ALL the cookies associated with SkinBrowser/WinCustomize. I say all as I had a cookies in a couple different folders within the Documents And Settings folders - make sure you check all users including Admin and Default for any errant cookies...

Probably the easiest blog to implement on your own website is Blogger http://www.blogger.com If you want to learn more, go there and read up on the tutorials. Crae - I don't think that blogging will every die out now. It's such an easy way to keep a site updated with news (especially for the casual user that doesn't have/care/know about PHP). I use it on my sites and my friend uses it on her site to let all her family and friends know about how her baby is doing. She's

I have to go with Griffinme except instead of setting a deadline...force a deadline. Take my example..er..for example: Right now I'm laying patio stones in my backyard for a hot tub. To make sure I get it done and don't leave it half-finished I've arranged delivery of the hot tub for Thursday morning. I've got 5 tiles left to do and then a whole bunch o' dirt in the middle but I'm done for tonight. I'll do the rest tomorrow after work. If any of you want to see pics of the pati
