I'm only aware of the tool made by harpo, is that the one you're looking for?
PUREVENOM
Make sure that the mod you're trying to use is compatible with all of the DLC that you have installed, as well as the current version of your game.
Has anyone had any luck adding additional color choices to the faction creation set up? Or has anyone already released a mod that does that? Changing the current colors is easy enough, just haven't had much luck in adding additional color choices to the menu.
How did they do it for the Titans? If I can reproduce the way they did it for the Titans, but named and classified as something else, such as Dreadnoughts, I'm hopeful that it can be done.
I'm working on a mod for my son, and I've added dreadnoughts for all of the factions. I'd like for them to be limited to one dreadnought built at a time, the same way as Titans. My first try was to add the titan's research prerequisites to the dreadnoughts. This of course did not work, could still build as many as I wanted once the tech was researched. I have the dreadnoughts listed as a Capital Ship. In the titans entity files, their stat count type is listed as "Titan". So far this is what
So my game has started to freeze, but does leave me with a dump file. Anyone know of a tool to convert the file to text so that I may try and figure out what's going on?
Obviously my custom race is my favorite. But my favorite race that I always try an ally with are the Drengin. And my favorite race to have as my ultimate super powerful enemy, are the Torians.
You are pioneering and I wish you tons of luck.
As do I. There are some custom color combinations that I can make with the in game civ creator, and I want to transfer them to my custom race. (My custom race was not made with the civ builder) Did it the old fashioned way to add custom techs and improvements, etc, etc.
The human race tried to be nice and where did that get us? Now we have the upper hand and what should we do? What do you think we would do? And that is the background story for Retribution and the inspiration of the new features in the game.
Completely agree with you about the campaign. As a long time GC player, I've never even started any of the campaigns. As to your question about what would the human race do, if it were me, as in I was in c
Anyone know which file controls/limits the number of trade routes that can be sent to a single planet? I've checked the GlobelDefs and the TradeRouteDefs but didn't find what I was looking for unless I missed it. I want to change it so I can send as many trade ships to a single planet as I want instead of this one route per planet. Prefer trading only with my ally
If you have a Stardock account, you can download it straight from there. I just had to redownload GC2 after my new PC build, didn’t require any keys for me. https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/default_import/Core/Default/Index
Was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this. In my games, the Iconians end up colonizing half the galaxy while most everyone else has about three maybe four planets colonized. Anyone else experiencing this?
While in the Research screen, another option is to click onto the "Tech Tree" in the bottom left corner of the screen. (See Old-Spider's pic above) That option works better for me personally, but it's whatever works best for you.
I haven't had any problems thus far
PM sent. Loving the ships btw
Thanks, I figured someone had already tried it.
In the FactionDefs.xml, under the Yor and Iconians, they have listed their hated faction. Which is obviously each other. I want to add my custom race to a few of the factions including the Iconians as one of their hated races, and was wondering if anyone knows or has tried to have Two entries for any of the factions? The other races in the base game do not have a hated race listed so they won't be a problem. (Haven't checked any DLC races) But the Iconians will end up having two entries. Was
Do you take request?
Thanks for the update! Great Job!
Turns out the Two-Way Treaties mod that I'm using also modifies the UIText.xml. So I just copy/pasted from yours onto that xml file since yours didn't have to change as many lines of text. Hope you don't mind that, if not I'll just have to choose between the two. It works great, "Hope for the Best". I'm loving it! Going to start a new game to get rid of the asteroid field lines. <img src="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAZAAAAEkCAIAAACOhvD4AAAABGdBTUEAALGPC/xhBQAAAAlwSFl
I'm sure there isn't a way to disable these in the game. However, it is possible to do what you want with mods. I had already made a mod to eliminate the trade route lines. I knew the lines for asteroid mines were in the same file, so I made a new mod that eliminated them. I was sure the battle prediction text was in a file for the UI text. I checked and they were all there. Instead of deleting them,
Didn't find anything in the Options tab that disabled the Asteroid Field Lines. I had also checked the "Prefs.ini" file and found nothing there as well.
1. - Is there any way to turn off the asteroid field lines? By mid to late game, I have so many asteroid lines crossing the galaxy is just becomes a bit annoying. I didn't see an option to turn them on or off in the options menu. 2. - Can we disable the "Victory Certain/Defeat Likely"? Personally I'd rather be taking a chance on attacking an enemy fleet rather than being told if I'll win or lose before hand.
I have a custom race that I created the old fashioned way, and a custom tech tree for them with your tool. Which is awesome btw! For my race's tech tree, I made the specializations into one tech for each. I have noticed that in game, when trading with other cases, that they too have the same custom tech as my custom civ does. When I go back into the editor and view the other race's tech trees, they don't have them, and they shouldn't since I didn't make any changes to any other tech tre
So, before I had updated my game and purchased the Intrigue expansion, I was using the Universal/Raider ship style for my custom race. (My custom race was made the old fashioned way, not with the civilization builder) I never l;iked the look of the starbases, shipyard, and a few ships. So I modded the DLC5_ShipStyleSetDefs.xml and the DLC5_ShipClassDefs.xml. Changed the starbases, shipyards, and a few of the ships, and everything worked fine. After the update, the DLC5_ShipClassDefs.xml file
