Another option would be to allow small and tiny hulls to be built planetside but require the shipyard to build medium and up.the shipyard could still build the smaller sizes as well this would allow the player to atleast build some defensive units in order to put up a resistance

I hate to ask the obvious but someone is going to have you tried using up the offending ships movement or passing its turn?
1) the colony ship always seems to launch with 2.5 people no matter what you set the slider to 2) is there a way to change the source for population? right now it always takes from my homeworld (the world that made the starport) and my population there is getting kind of low
the colony module is available from the tech planetary improvement its the first tech in the colonization category
Star tool tips are on the way, still not sure if we will be showing planets in them, as it kind of feels like cheating, but than again we did it in GC1 and 2. So....

I know what you mean about "feels like cheating" and yeah, it gives info that is still in the fog.
im mixed about this i dont really like it and would rather not have that information available on the other hand right now we have
you need to go into the starport it is currently sponsoring and remove the planet in question then you can go into the second starport and add it in
i will be adding to this as i come up with more only 1 atm 1) scroll wheel for planetary construction que needs to be about 8x more sensitive - atm i need to scroll my wheel about 8 ticks (from all the way at the top to all the way at the bottom) to move the que about 1/2 a line.(literally) this means that to move the que far enough to see the 6th item in que i need to roll my finger across the whole mouse wheel 2x it should mov
just a thought that came to me that would be usefull a colored ring around the shipyard when you select it while "unanchored" (or possibly a show radius button ) that shows the effectiveness of the resources it recieves green >= 75% of resources recieved from planets in green ring yellow 74-50% of resources received from planets in yellow ring orange 49-25% of resources received from planets in orange ring red <25% of resources received from
currently playing a game where i found 2 ships ahf lost cutter 1 & ahf lost defender 1 when setting them to the same destination from a distance apart (about 3 turns away) the game crashes to desktop however moving them closer (so they fleet within 1 turn) has no issue i have a save file debug file and crash dump file if its necessary edit .... i was able to reproduce this CTD 3 times before posting after posting it works

Then there are the kinds of things which go on in works like Star Trek, where

im kind of mixed it makes sense to be able to see the stars and it also makes sense that at some point you should be able to identify planets and thier characteristics (technologically we are getting into that right now) but at the same time i wanna say F&(% logic make it a surprise i dont want to see any stars or anything untill i can get there
