Apologies Thecw - seems that it was indeed my Steam profile name - I had a Steam nick name (or something) showing when I logged it, got confused. Many thanks for the tip

Awesome, thanks Chibiabos Turns out there was a Class I Operator Error also (I missed one of the last 3 techs by accident) OK I'm an idiot Note I picked up the idea of an upgrade from an earlier forum thread; should have remembered from last game when I built it from the list!
I've maxed out all research and yet still found myself not being able to Ascend to a Tech Victory I noticed I actually had Research Cloisters- somehow - on multiple planets - so when back and razed them, rebuilt on one. It auto-upgraded to Quantum but now I can't see how to go the last step. Edit - after Chibiabos response I removed the bug tag
It's not my Steam name Thecw but thanks for the suggestion
Hi In the post game metaverse, I notice my scores are listed under the first part of my email address rather than my user name. I noticed this week that my Stardock username had spaces is in, so I updated that on the Stardock Acccount page, but I still see my email address (before the @) listed in the metaverse. OK here on the forum though Anyway to sort this? Mr B
I'm pretty new to GC3 and although I've been playing 4X since Civ I, including the earlier GC's and their DLC, I'm one of the 80% of players that mostly muck around in Normal (or the one just above it); mostly so I can experiment and mix and match and get massive replayability. In case anyone was interested, after a couple of hours testing scenarios: no, no, no, no, no, mo Only the listed default classes auto-upgrade. I gather some XML shenanigans in a Mod would alter these defaultsd for that Mod, but no. Only defaults upgrade as far as I can tell.
Do I understand correctly that ship designs in Blueprints automatically update to your latest available tech? That is, I build a Scout M0 as a Terran. Later I research a new engine, and while my Scout M0 is happily puttering around the deep dark dangerous universe on last century's tech, if I go to the Shipyard I'll see a Scout M3 (or something) as a build option which is in effect the Scout M0 with the new engine? This is what I think is happening, but wanted to
Hi there (First time caller, long time listener!) I'm having difficulty saving parts from the ship designer. Sometimes only a part of the component saves. For example: I crack open the Terran transporter template and grab the central little cross thing (made of Terran Model 23 and 26) using CTRL LMB from the component list, adding parts left-to-right. I then hit the little save-grouped-parts button, and it appears in the Parts menu - although I usuall
