This is a huge difference to the game; it is the type of thing that I expected from the beginning. This will even the class out abit since the older experienced players have to learn the same as the noobs. This at first seems like a pita for most players, but in the long run should be more interesting, especially after this has been played awhile by the many, and the positive tweeks come out that make it work for all. I can't wait until it comes out. 'Til then, though, will hav

Welcome back Ms...You did a fine job with the earlier versions; a pleasure working with you on them; can't wait to see what you can bring up/back now. Great, and impressive to see these fine updates and fixes. There are more to do in my opinion, but you all have my confidence that it will happen. To be honest, I haven't played the game in awhile, partially because of a number of things that you have been working on. I will make it a point to return to the clan of fine,

Thank you, Yasu. I tried to use the influence and mining bases, and when I found out they did not work yet, I assumed that the economy and military bases were useless as well, and did not try to use them. I will certainly work on them now and in the future, them being so valuable as you say. Thank you again; sorry it took so long to reply, somehow I missed it. We have cats also, one who looks similar to yours, and for whatever reason likes the gam

Yes, this is happening to me as well. Basically, a definition of something will be in the wrong text size, and will print out or over the place it belongs. I see this many times. I have never used this page, so I have not seen it, but I have little doubt that it will be there.

First, I believe this to be the best version yet. Not huge changes, but a new race, and new sound effects/music, and the new versions of the smaller items are better, in my opinion. That being said, during start up, the program will say something that it has never said before; it only started with 0.61, and here it is: "This video card is reporting less than 512Mb of video ram. It may not be able to run Galactic Civilizations III." Now, my computer has ~10 Rams of memory, so this is a

What is the current version number? I see no reference anywhere and I would like to check to see if my version got updated. Steam seems to be very quirky in this regards lately. My main menu screen says Ver. 0.61 I agree with you. Mine shows the same number, and when I go to use it, it shows the new race, with new music and sound effects, (nice) and various items that have been worked on visually; these look great also. I believe that .61 is proper. I

It is a complete waste to try and build a starbase. At this point, you can get one to stage 1, which does nothing at all. There is a list of things to add to make it into one of several types of base, but these are not there yet. Well, the labels are there, but they do not work, and it says so. It was a mistake to put up the starbase at all intill the whole thing is ready to go. Huge waste of time and effort just to get to an expensive nothing.

Hello everybody. My name is Mistralok, and I have been a player in the GalCiv world since the beginning. I was surprised when the mention of this game hit my e-mail, and purchased it on the spot. It was a pleasant surprise. I am sure that there are many here that I have chatted with before, to the point of electronic friendship that a game like this can provide. I look forward to communicating with you all again. My picture is different; it suits the game, and I would be pleased if someone co

3D maps are interesting, depending on which game, but difficult to design. They take quite a bit of time; time which could be spent working on and perfecting other parts of the game. I can choose 1 3D, or over a dozen drop your jaw amazing things in a game. I choose the latter. One day, 3D will be easier, more common, and have better quality, but till that time arrives, I believe we should keep the excellent 2D that Stardock can provide.

There are a number of words in Earth languages that sound the same, but mean different things. They may be spelled slightly differently, or not, but mean; well here are a few. COOKIE: “Small penis” in Hungarian. It’s spelled “koki.” KISS: “Pee” in Swedish. BITE: “Penis” in French (it’s pronounced slightly differently). SPEED: “Fart&

Hello, all; glad to be back in what I consider to be a superb gaming family. I joined the group in 2006, and helped get the games out. Only a couple of tiny things, mind you, but proud I still am. This was, and I hope still is the most friendly and caring group that I have ever come across, and I'm sure that will continue. I couldn't afford the big one, so I will have to wait until after A, but after that, look out, so to speak. It already feels good to
