So if the Tothk are getting a new ship style, does this mean the Ronar will return but with a new graphic? I found their backstory interesting.

I just want to tell Stardock that the ship designs in Mercenaries are the best I've seen so far! They are all really cool and I love all the bizzarre mercenary ships (with big maws especially) as well as the Torian and Arcean ships which are both beautiful to look at, regardless of colorscheme. For being two species having just seen their worst time in history, they sure know how to compensate with some glorious starships.
Well crap, I systematically clean out my saves. If I encounter it again I won't do that mistake. It's been one of those weeks again.
So, I was facing off against an enemy with a merc in my fleet and he had one ship and a merc. My ships made short work of his ship and then it came to merc vs merc with mine as support. The moment my merc fired at his, the game crashed. No error message, no nothing. Just quit the game to desktop. I had The Path of Rhuin and he had The Bitte. I had no crash when using quick battle, but this shouldn't be a necessity.
They are starting with languages spoken in more than one country. Your english seems decent though. Honestly, if I would see the game translated to Swedish it would give me a good chuckle, but I would never play it in Swedish. Swedish is terrible. I guess we just have a different view on our native tongue.
"Every mercenary has their own unique ship for traveling across the galaxy in style. Speaking of style, there are lots of new ship parts to enhance your own customizations and styles! " I am seeing a vauge implication of a ship style editor. Is this going to be a feature? Please say it is!
This is odd. I see little but Romulan Warbirds in the community. I suppose it's like they say; you only find it when you're not looking.
As funny as this is, you *might* want to change the portrait icon, as that one may be overstepping it a bit. You might also make the description a bit less about the offensive stereotype and more positive and light-hearted. Otherwise, I am happy to see a classic Mel Brooks faction! Good job!
I am willing to wipe my entire game off the Hard drive and do a fresh reinstall at this point. I keep getting multiple factions at the start of the game saying they are missing parts or links. I can show a screen shot but i figure just a clean install of GCIII and your mod is really all I need.
Unnecessary. Just go through your factions folder and look at the dates of the files. Remove all the old ones from this mod,
Excellent work, good sir! These are brilliant interpretations of the shapes, well done indeed!
You could just make them a standard faction, make them super aggressive and set their difficulty to 11.
I found it after downloading an old version. Apparently, it was named "Yor Singularity" and since I had made custom factions with them as a base before I thought it was one of them. If you save a faction without changing the name, the default name will remain in the file name. That is what happened here. I had been thinking of moving factions and adding them slowly until I found it, but I really never would have the time since I have made literally hundreds of factions.
Well, that is the problem. I can't. I made a fresh install but the file is named something else so I couldn't find it. I cannot remove it in the game as it is unavailable.
I have been having problems finding the old version of the Quantum Cyberiat and remove it as the file itself isn't named so. What was it named? It's a bit irritating to see the popup whenever I start the game saying I can't use the faction.
The New Eden mod changed it to the human scientist for all it's custom races. It's been done before, but I believe this requires you to make your race a mod. You could dig into that mod and see how he achieved it, or dig through the default race files to see where it specifies this.
It's been done twice. Gauntlet's Race Mod and the New Eden mod have new minors. You could either go and look through the files and see how they did it or wait for one of the authors to show up here (the more giving of options).
Do you mean the robot advisor? I am not entirely sure what you are refering to.
To anyone updating; keep in mind that the update will make your old factions using these shipsets obsolete so set them to a default sets before updating! It took me a while to update, but now I get the fun of setting them again, maybe with reconsiderations! Great to see that you included the new faction with the update. Really looking forward for a video showing them all off. Is the snathi parts faction coming up next?
Stardock does not usually go to this subforum. You should bring this up with them so they can implement it into the game.
Have you cranked up the volume properly? Have you checked if your sound works fine otherwise? Is your english on the rusty side? Deaf or hearing deficient? This is not a problem reported before, so you should either check if there are technical issues or say what sort of subtitles you are looking for. The sound is very clear. Btw, This have nothing to do with mods. This goes either into future ideas or support.
No. Don't subscribe. https://forums.galciv3.com/453079/page/1/ Also, this does not belong in mods.
That too, I think some sort of system to allow the player to watch some battles should be implemented. Replays seems like a bit more work but would indeed be welcome.
This idea might be completely bonkers. Infact, I am pretty sure it is complete bonkers. You know how you can make the AI run every faction and turns becoming automated by cheats? Now get this; what about that as a simple click in the new game menu, and you get to choose to see or skip the battles that occur! This might even be possible as a mod. Either way, I think it would be fun because sometimes I just want to see impressive space battles without the need to play for hours
Gauntlet's Race Mod adds new factions with their own shipsets plus minor races: https://forums.galciv3.com/466227 Galactic Civilizations of New Eden does the same thing (currently, will become a total conversion) but with the Eve Online universe: https://forums.galciv3.com/470063
I have a few things to note about this new shipset, the main thing being that I am unsure if it will work for people without the dlcs. This because of the peacekeeper logo. I am not sure if it was provided to everyone regardless of having the dlc or not, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Personally I prefer every custom faction to have non-default logos to avoid confusion when a minor faction or event faction appears and have the same logo. The other part is the planet using Snat
