Anyone? Thanks in advance.
GalCiv3AIDefs.xml: 0.4
How exactly does this work? Does it mean that the faction requesting peace has to have it's faction-power down to 40% of the enemy's faction-power? or is it a 4 to 1 power ratio (400% relative power ratio)? Thanks in advance.
I'm really looking forward to the 1.5 Diplomacy update in December. I've always felt that diplomacy has usually been the Achilles' Heel of most 4X strategy games. Good diplomacy could really go a long way for immersion. Has there been any specific information given about how diplomacy will be changed with the release of this upcoming patch? Thanks in advance.
I really like all of these ideas; but I'm running late, so I only have time to comment on one of them for now. 7) I think you should gain benevolent points for accepting a peace treaty while you are winning a war instead. If malevolent points could be gained by declining a peace offer, then proposing a peace treaty while losing a war (which is when you should propose peace) could empower a faction you're at war with. This wouldn't be real
But the idea that a planet can go from 23 to 71 right off the bat with the flick of a wheel without a single downside is just not going to work.
That's another good point: it's unrealistic how fast the wheel (global or planet) can be changed. M
Frankly, I don't know why the game was designed this way, it just adds complications and more micromanagement to the game. The improvements built on the planet should be enough to decide what is the output of the planet, specialized world, mixed world, whatever. Is that it must be so complicated to play the game? Force the player "to do the math" for efficiency? "So, I have t
Do you prefer to use the governing screen for your empire as a whole? or do you prefer to the governing screen for each planet? It seems like that using it for each planet could become difficult and micro-intensive. What do you think? Thanks in advance.
Anyone? I'd really like to mod this in, but so far all my attempts have failed. Thanks in advance.
Game Pacing is coming later. What's the easiest way to mod it in now? I like playing 4x games like Civ at either "epic" or even "marathon" pacing. Thanks in advance.
sorry, double post
DARCA, this is absolutely brilliant! Definitely will result in GCIII being much, much better. Thanks!

So; 82% morale gives me a 10% bonus in its respective categories, but a 85% morale gives me a 25% bonus. It would be fairer if a 82% morale gave a 32% bonus which is relative to how much over 50% morale it is.
This would be an excellent improvement. Superior in every way.
Are government types and parties in GalCiv III? as they were in GalCiv II? Thanks in advance.
If queues were carry-1, then you'd still have to sweep through and not waste your excess tech research, but you could almost ignore all other planets' manuf queues. That would reduce the burden substantially. If we also get a 2-item tech queue, that could reduce the per-turn burden to zero . Then the Turn-happy speed player would be almost as waste-free as the diligent manager. (However, a mic

Understandably, the developers are waiting to make most balance changes after GC3 is feature complete (else they'd have to balance everything all over again). I just bought GCIII and I'm really enjoying playing. In fact, I don't see myself playing anything else for a while. So in the meantime, do you have any suggestions for any balancing by modding xml files? Have you been using any xml modifications? Thanks in advance. and thank you StarDock develo
Do you like to govern each planet (set it's wealth, production -both military and building, and research rates) or do you prefer to govern at an empire-wide scale? What are your strategies for setting these rates (at either scale)? Do you find it becomes bogged-down with excessive micro-management? Does production and research carry other to the next project/building/ship if you have overflow beyond a single turn? If so, this might make intense micro-managing less <span
What's the easiest way to reduce ship range by xml modding? I like the idea of having to settle closer planets before further ones; even if the further ones are more valuable. Thanks in advance.
How similar is the GalCiv 3 universe to the Star Trek universe? Thanks in advance.
