I also found that they don't get the research project on their planets. Possibly for the same reason they don't get the research boosting modules.
Achronous
In the same game, the Iconians just surrendered to me and I confirm that the same thing happened. Their (now mine) starbases changed to my design but kept the Iconian colour. When I double click them to examine them they show the correct colour. The ships I inherited keep the Iconian design (expected) and colour (not expected). Upon reload, all colours are as expected.
I just noticed that when a faction surrenders their assets to another, (at least) their starbases stay the old faction colour, even though they change shape to the new faction's design. Upon reloading the saved game the colour changes back to the new faction. For example here , the Yor surrendered to the Arceans (to prevent me from capturing their homeworld, grr) and the starbases are still purple.<
Perhaps. I'm holding out so that I can upgrade the motherboard and all components together. There's little point to change the video card to something my motherboard can't take advantage of...!
Seriously now, even though the Torian ships and shipyards/starbases are awesome, their thin and sharp lines don't go well with a low amount of antialiasing. I have mine set to 0x or 1x and they look a bit jagged...
As said in the title, the icon for the Wellness falls is missing. Upgrading from Healing waters the improvement icon disappears and is not replaced by an upgrading icon nor the final improvement icon. This is in the Hot springs tech line. pic related! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=620359785
I have reloaded the game and the diplomacy screen now shows the correct races to planets. Curious.
Yes, it's on the ship component that's on the mercenary ship. You can see it in game when you examine the merc's ship components.
Hah! And watch it culture flip the next turn ;) I think balance of resources seems to be the way forward. 1 Thulium 1 Antimatter 1 (or 2) Durantium 1 Elerium do make a nice merc transport [e digicons]:-"[/e] Sing it in any tune you like [Neilkaz, Yes you need the resources to hire them]
I definitely see your point. My only problem is that you can completely wipe out an enemy with a transport, but not with a colony ship.
I don't even know who the Packers are. I had to google it. I'm not even from the US ;)
They are already locked by Age, it would need just moving transports to the next tier. I would never rush in a manner like that, I'm a peaceful one ;p (Perhaps I would make an exception for the Snathi though ;) )
Make any race that has the aquatic trait use those life support and untie it from the tech tree. Although there should be a way to research improvements for it instead of having a separate life support tree for it.. Hmm..
The three tiers correspond to the three ages. So it makes sense to move the transport ship to the second tier where you can research Planetary invasion. Even if you haven't researched it (you could) you can still buy the ship. Then it's a more fair compromise. Otherwise what's stopping me from rushing to a bazaar buying a transport with my nice pile of cash I start with (and a few resources that you could easily get with the free pragmatic ideology constructors) and then invading
Perhaps Mercenary transport ships should be locked until you research Planetary Invasion.
Nowhere near ;) :moo:
yes, sometimes it doesn't revert to the previous setting. Strange.
I like the colours :P
As stated in the title: If you go to the Diplomacy screen and hover over the races planets you will get the wrong report tooltip and Faction coming up in the miniwindow (or conversely they are correct, but the wrong planet/logo is shown for them). For example in this screenshot: The Iconian planet is labelled as the Thalans and their faction leader is and details are shown. In this screenshot all the races are wrongly labelled except for the Minor races and the Yor. (there's a custom fact
Well maybe there should be a "Are you sure?" option but that would get old quickly having to have extra clicks, wouldn't you agree? Retreating ships are probably beyond the scope of this game's battles. If you don't want to fight someone then try to flee before the combat begins! If they catch up perhaps it's time to research faster engines!
Thanks! If anything the pools should be upgraded to the hospitals' stats so you don't have to build both (or unlock pools to build multiples instead of one pool+hospitals) :)
The Mercenaries are hirable in sandbox games yes. But the Korx are not a playable race.
Could you make Pearl not a Water planet: All other little planets are colonizable by everyone so the Torians can miss out an enemy colonizing that planet (and then getting it for free). Well it's only fair! ;p
Not a bug report but something that looks out of place for the Torians. They've got the birthing pool at the start of the game since it's unlocked by the colonisation tech. The next tech which can be researched is the Settling pool improvement, which unlocks the Colonial Hospital. The techs after that seem to improve the colonial hospital like all other races. I feel like the Birthing pool should be upgraded to better pools rather than be replaced with the colonial hospital.
I would encourage both to submit a ticket as per pshaws request:;
submit a ticket (https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit) with the save game and the custom faction (and any custom ship designs if any) attached so we can take a look? Thank you.
That way they have more data about the problem on their side and the benefit for you is that they will be reminded to push the update slightly faster ;)
