Actually, waiting untill the game (including all it's add-on's/dlc's) is on Steam for just a few bucks a bunch of years later is the most cost effective
You have to also factor in the time you are waiting into the cost. Time is, after all, money. :P
Quoting ElanaAhova, reply 18 a convention site would be much safer... caution with internet connections into RL is definitely called for. Damn Stardock; they're just collecting us into one place so they can extract our brains!
Now if they invited us to the studios I would start getting really concerned...!
Yep, our thoughts exactly. Look at how desaturated Kona is now versus GalCiv II.
He looks positively pale! Ok, I came up with a complementary origin story for the Drengin. Probably incomplete but it was fun to write: ==== Billions of years ago the Mithrillar were fighting over the Telenanth when it shattered. A tiny, negligible piece drifted slowly away and after a few million years found

Not bad. I prefer if the Korath and the Drengin look a bit more similar since the Korath are supposed to be a subspecies, but don't make Kona too Korath-like for sake of continuity. Maybe make it as Drengin age, they look more like the Korath. Also, may I suggest that instead of Drengin hair getting white as they age, they instead lose colour by desaturation. Also, did you draw the painting yourself?

By the way I'm really enjoying the full screen diplomacy screen. It looks much better especially if it's going to be animated like you said. Looks nicer than Civ5 diplo screens as well! It would be a real hoot if the leaders also spoke. They don't have t
So, what makes them different from the Korx then?
I always imagined the Korx as a mean/nastier version of the Ferengi. Korx: "You would like to buy my mother." Human: "Ehm, no thanks." Korx: "It wasn't a question, you are buying my mother or your mother gets it" This Iridium corporation looks like it's going to be version that tries to sell

To be honest I'm not fascinated with the idea. It might work in some games with melee units, but in GalCiv they are basically all ranged units. It's just the projectile they use is different. The spaceships themselves don't touch each other. Now if you included military starbases, maybe it could work. To keep it within reason, maybe in times of war they could attack enemy spaceships one parcec/tile away from them so they can have the first strike when they are about to get attacke

I assumed whatever we've seen of the Krynn is the suits. And the Thalans were always a contingency since they are a small group dedicated to the 'disaster' of humans. "contingency: An emergency involving military forces caused by natural disasters, terrorists, subversives, or by required military operations. Due to the uncertainty of the situation, contingencies require plans, rapid response, and special procedures to ensure the safety and re

Currently a hex sector, has a 12 hex radius, so there are 397 hexes per sector, which is a bit larger than a 16x16 GC2 sector. The smallest galaxy is currently 7 sectors. The largest we will leave as a surprise, for later. These values are all set out in data, that modders will have access to later, which should be fun. That said this is something we
There were a few things that bothered me back in GalCiv 2 ship designer. This isn't all of them, just many of the annoying ones. -Ability to pre-define module placement locations/not having to place the modules anywhere. It is something that has bothered me when designing ships and upgrading them. Any ship module I want my ship to have has to be placed somewhere. In many cases, I have to find places to go put the ship modu
