Also, Kyro cannot read the mind of one frogboy and other stardock leadership. As an employee, he was answering on behalf of his company as he understood it at the time.
I think discussed statement might be in this forum thread https://forums.galciv3.com/458598 "We are not planning on pricing it any lower prior to release (at which point it'll rise to 49.99)." Keyword here is "planning" and unfortunately plans can change... i bought GC3 for 45$ and thought it's lowest price until release too - apparently i misread this sta

I see your point if Stardock did promise the game would not go below a certain price. I fully support free market pricing decisions (obviosely) but I also hate it when businesses lie, even if unintentionaly. I DO NOT support false advertising and lying to customers if that is indeed what happened.
I've been watching and waiting and I've finally started playing the game now. So, I guess you might consider these my first impressions. I love the graphics of the first colonization of a planet; but it saddens me that what I see isn't actually what happens. In the vid the modules eject from the ship and make their way to the surface of the planet. That would imply to me that the core of the ship remains; but that's not

Since this game is a sequel it doesn't make sense to just suddenly populate the game with crazy non huminoid races like in Ascendancy (I think in that game the only huminoid race was the smart lizard people). They would have to have a plot that explained the extermination of all other races then a sudden populating of the galaxy and fast forwarding to hyper drive capability for all the races. Besides, the custom race feature and ability to mod in your own graphics will allow y
Which Starbase was I upgrading again? : I cannot count the times I have clicked upgrade starbase only to get this full screen window that gives me no indication where the starbase is on the map. Which means I forgot what I needed to add to it specially with so many module choices to choose from and with my 20 starbases. Oh did I mention one map I got only three viable planets (Earth, Mars, TheThirdOne) before being shut out

I think every ship actually represents an entire fleet of ships. Kind of like how in civ games, your military unit is not litterally one of that unit, but an entire division or whatever of that unit. Now as to entire fleet of ships only taking a few weeks to a month... well I guess factory tech can make that happen if we are playing in a world that has hyper drive.

I noticed this same issue. I was wondering if it was just the way the game was supposed to be, but I thought it was fairly dark as well. Also, when you zoom out, do the hex border lines in unexplored terroritoy vibrate and flash when you move the screen?
Also, disregard the lectures from a few people with logically fallacious analogies - they have trouble seeing how this represents a big shift for the game industry and for many of us and want to chime in on every thread about the Steam sale.
Hi guys, new here but a long time fan of the series. Got the beta off the Steam sale, couldnt resist giving it a spin. So far I find it very enjoyable, one thing bugs me though - how do I beeline to a specific tech? I tried left-click, right-click, holding shift/alt/ctrl while on the Tech tree - nothing seems to do the trick. Am I missing something obsious or there isnt sinply an option for that at the current stage of the game?
<p

You have to take responsibility for your own buying decisions. A Stardock employee did not come to your home and put a gun to your head and forced you to buy this game. You put down $45 or $50 or $100 of your hard earned money because you felt it was worth it at the time. You could have waited like 4-5 years for this game to be $5 as part of a holiday special, but you thought paying the extra money was worth it at the time. No one is ready to launch a revolution when bread and milk go up, whe

Guys / Gals, Look the AI is stupid compared to really good human players can do in 2015. Get over it. At least this means that a future Skynet has a long way to go before mass producing human killing terminators. Everytime my printer screws up I think to myself that AI has a long way to go to having a fully functioning T800 not screw up somehow.

Stardock CEO who has an apparent love of frogs, I love your games and may you and your proginey (sp?) be rich for 1000 years. If you hate the free market so much, we can always go to a socilaism model of making video games. The old Soviet Union produced exactly one decent video game - Tetris. Stardock deserves to get rich. They make great games. I don't see how selling a video game for a cheaper price is somehow evil. You got to play the game far sooner buying it back then at 39.99 rather than waiting until now to get it at 24.99. I am sure like 5 years
