A 24" DELL 2401WFP. And looking for better one at the same size. Also a 15.4" laptop which is very bad watching a movie. Both monitors have problem with motion and black is not real black.. Still wait for the OLED monitors..
two three and six are pertey good but i hate Jar'Jar NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved Jar'Jar! 1. 3D map the more realistic the better. 2. Explored area should depend on telescope/radar technology the more you advance the further and more detailed you can see. Ship exploration should be only as extra. 3. Planet development should have much more depth. Build many mega cities with specific role like science, food production, industry, tourism, etc. You can always zoom in your planet and choose where to build a special building or check an incident. In the later stages
My taste in music is very wide from pop to jazz, from rock to ambient and whatever kind of music I like always to hear a melody soft voices or melodic instruments like violin mixed with a pop beat.. my best. Sarah Brightman is one of favourites soundtracks from LOTR and Gladiator are great too and a Eurovision 1995 song.. Secret Garden - Nocturne :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fd3a189vcVc
OK Twilight of the Arnor is finally here. But what happens with the editors? They are not what expected. 1. Map Editor : It crashes very often and it's maps are not always playable in the GCII which they crash the game.. Minimizing at the taskbars and restoring it back it often causes a D3D error. Creating a map with pre-defined home planets for players crashes the game. And I dont know havent checked yet but the names on custom maps are not the normal ones
36 hours before release date you move it again. (By the time I got the news, it was less than 24 hours.)I know it's going to be good, but dear god, this was originally supposed to be out in December! You had a poll asking if people would prefer to wait until January. The majority (myself included) voted yes. Release date after release date has been missed. So very disappointed with Stardock. Yeah yeah, I know all the fanboys will start on at me now. Well sorry folks, I didn't get my compl
forum problems... I posted the first message and it was lost I posted this one and both are shown now.. Allow me to add that.. MOO3 was a crap! A very complex and boring management game. But hey not a game this was torture.. after sometime you have many colonies and you have to manage all of them one by one giving orders for the next building and thats what you are doing for the most time in this game. All the magic of MOO2 was gone. Colony ma
Master of Orion 3...if you're ready to try it (learning curve is very steep) you'll discover a universe...so many options and so much room for your imagination. It has to be patched though to be good (official patch + Bhruic's patches at least).CheersGah! Do not listen to this madman! MOO3 is the spawn of the very devil, I tell you! The devil!! (Sorry Anguille, you know I had to say it.) Yes I jest, but only in part. I largely agree with Artysim's assessment of the game -- Master of Orion
Graphics, especially high quality graphics, really just make the game unplayable by more computers than if they had normal quality graphics. I won't play a game that drops down to 1 FPS. I would rather play a crummy looking game that works.
But GC2 or Sins are not so heavy, Crysis yes. Games that demand new expensive hardware to be at least playable I think is a bad joke. Who wants to spend 400-500$ to play a game?
In a game most important thing is always playabilty, how good it works,if its funny doing it or boring.. The graphics have a 2nd role but also very important. Special effects, visuals, sounds etc. is always the sugar in the cake. Nobody eats cakes without sugar, and definitely these days with so many impressive graphics in other game genres like Crysis, everybody wants graphics. Like I have said many times in previous posts a game is funny when you see something you created. Why ship des
I use a different earth map for GCII. Its quality is much better and more realistic as it comes from sattelite images. There are several high quality earth images on the internet here is a good link with terrain, night lights, clouds... would be great if Stardock adopt these and not in a mod.. <IMG alt="earth terrain" hspace=0 src="http://www.oera.net/How2/Plan
aaahhhh I hate you...! custom races, AI design ships, updated graphics, and again custom races! Well I was modifying human race to my taste before but now its much better since I can give them specific tech too. I hope custom maps will work too and map editor wont crash. Have to say I didnt expect so much stuff in a beta a little before final.. love u guys..
lol very cheap indeed and since I use euros and not dollars I can find many good stuff to buy and download very cheap. Knights of Honor its definetely a conquer game but lots of diplomacy and its the key if you want to play and win e.g. marry the princess with prince with another kingdom and your relationship get a boost. Very interesting and very different aspect of strategy game. I think I played Imperialism years ago but I dont remember it now.
I had a look at Europa 1400.. very interesting.. ;)
I tried Corporate Machine but it was very difficult always bankrupt.. Europa Universalis I liked this one but it was very difficult too perhaps because I was trying some impossible scenarios.. :p Knights of Honor is similar and looks much better. I dont know Victoria or Europa 1400 I will have a look. Have to say that some of my fav games were Caesar and Zeus Master of Olympus.. Nice graphics creating a city and also have many different missions like killing a monster
err.. I had enough with tycoons they are fun on the begining but later they become boring. Strategy games indeed are designed for fighting but GCII for example its a lot more than that. Thats what Im looking for.. games that are rich in content and you have to create a lot not just resource management and fighting..
Ok I GCII is great but I want to try some other strategy games too. I have played a lot unfortunatelly the last versions of strategy games are being too simplistic... just build the army and fight. e.g. Empire Earth III. I dont like fighting never did I prefer creating something like an empire and yes when its needed I will fight to defend or conquer but as a part of the game not a main concept. I like to research, build, expand etc. Probably Spore is the best example of
Ok I changed the server I did before also but didnt work. I got an update for GCII but not the beta 006. There is a problem on this one be patient Im sure they will find out.
I dont see 0.96a.006. Im still at 004 and refreshing xml data does not change anything. :NOTSURE:
Well I have to say you sound like a very difficult guy who is extremely afraid on security issues with your computer probably you keep top secrets or just an ignorant. Or just allergic to the idea that you dont control it the way you like. Once you connect to internet want or not personal/system data will be sent this way or another. Using a program to download updates or connecting on a web site to download them does not change the fact data will be sent and stolen risk is minimal but for s
No I dint use anything else except the Map editor tool. I cant play any map cause Im still waiting for the fix for the game to allow the custom maps again. But even if I could still needs a lot of editing since many planets are unhabitable..
Sometimes you can try load the last autosave or previous autosave (personally I have set autosave every 2 turns). When you load the game again the AI might postpone or act different so you could keep peace with them. You could call cheating.. but the AI cheats as well.. On my current game I sympathize Torians but sometime during their war with Drengin they surrender to them. I didnt like this so I loaded the last autosave after some 15-20 turns they surrendered again. I loaded autos
:SURPRISED: :( I was creating a map I spent more than 4 hours editing and the last time I tried to open it the Map editor it was crashing again and again. So I assume my map is junk now. So big lesson for me is not to touch beta stuff again cause I dont like to waste my time....
What about zero quality planets? there are none and I have to create and edit them manually one by one.. this editor needs some scripts to create better random maps creating a random map should be like in the game map generation where you can choose different options tight or loose clusters, habitable planets etc. and something very important for interface and ease of use instead clicking a star or planet and have a pop-up window every time a left panel that st
