Do I have problems with Stardock Central? Of course I do. Who doesn't? I am quite practiced in how to solve them and expect the problems with alpha and beta programs. The only problem I have there is that component manager no longer works and Stardock Central is still in beta, leaving nothing that is "stable" to use. That's fine. I accept that. It's stardock, on the component manager page, (the link in the 1st post) I don't think it will show up in the wincustomize browser, or in the stardock central browser, and I am aware of the difference between wincustomize and stardock. I've seen this before when I tried to do one a couple of months back, never solved the problem but I think it has something to do with logonstudio resizing the picture
I think static got the first question right For 2, make sure "Translucency IS being used" is turned off for that section, only enable that attribute if you are using a targa, never a bitmap. If you already know this, it might be the version of WB (Betas have some bugs with start menu right now, I know first hand). What version are you using? There have been issues with the beta and the start menu as of late.
Not quite sure IF you will find that, but you might. The bars are'nt going to have every feature of the original, I use (and love) objectbar, but I use it as an extension of the startbar, with Windows XP.
HI, Just thought I'd say that I mentioned this problem to the Skinstudio newsgroup, and they are looking into it. Also, for all WB artists, if you have upped a skin in the past few days using the latest Skinstudio/Windowblinds you might want to check out if this is affecting you, I know I am not the only one with this problem, I also downloaded a couple of newer skins over the weekend with problems in the start panel, just a heads up! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.

All WB work at all resolutions, the logons I am not so sure about. I use 1920x1440 so if ya want to you can click on my name and check out my work, the safety ninja stuff isn't displaying right if you have the beta of WB but is fine under 3.5
Yeah, I noticed the same problems on a couple of other skins too, really nice looking ones that have been put up recently, with incomplete xp start sections. I don't think it is WB that is doing it, I think it's the way skinstudio packages the .WBA file... (MHO) Is Stardock aware of this, and if not where is the appropriate place to tell them? First off, thankyou for taking the time. The background is black, but there should be a button between the background and the text, like in the screen, why it is doing that I don't know cause it's fine for me, even when I delete the entire skin and download it from here. I got a comment on my skin that the XP start panel was showing up completely black, which shouldn't be... like if I forgot to add the "translucency IS being used" feature to the section. I haven't been able to contact the person who posted the problem, and it looks as it should on my machine. It's more time consuming than it is "HARD" but it's not easy either, especially if you are thorough and do everything in the skin. LOTS of images, especially now with the shellstyles and all. Give it a try, Objectbar makes it rather easy to canvert your windowblinds skin over to it. That's what I usually do; a WB and an ObjectBar that work together.
