Yeah, I know dark skins are evil, but the "address" on explorer tollbars is changeable, I could make it blue, but then the button text would be blue as well, if they could get the button image to display behind the "address" text, then one more dark skin problem solved.

Is it just that skin? if so the margins might be set too high. open the skin in skinstudio, go to the statusbar section, and lower the margins. Hope that helps

here's a nit-pick but something I'd like to see; the "address" text next to the addressbox on explorer windows uses the same color as the buttons do, this is a pain when doing dark skins with light colored buttons because the text shows up black on black. Any way you could make this color independant? Or maybe put a button behind it? That would be great. here is a screen of what it is doing http://www.msu.edu/~conatser/wcpblm.jpg there shouldn't be any blue behind the buttons, it should be the background as seen below the PS7 button. there is no blue in the taskbar background image.

I made a different image, but that's not solving it, no matter what image I put there, with however many states it has, the button image is also the background where the taskbar should be showing, i'll post a screen as my desktop image so you can see, and thanks for trying to help me here, I appreciate it.

I am using the same image for the taskbar buttons and the quicklaunch buttons. but they have the same number of states, 6 each. the taskbar background is a different image of course. It still lays the button image behind the quicklaunch buttons as a background, no matter what I do. Not showing any errors in skinstudio either.

Hi all, need a little help: workin on a new WB skin and after I applied my image to the quicklaunch buttons it also applied the button image to the taskbar behind the buttons as well, I saw this in my last skin, and then the problem disappeared. but I don't know what I did to make it go away and now I can't figure it out. ObjectBar never has supported custom coloring. You could try to apply custom color to the WB skin and then change the Objectbar skin to "Use the current Windowbinds skin" and that might work but I haven't tried it , nor do I own toon. Good Luck

Good News: I've been messin' with the animation and I got it to work! Bad news: The cycle starts as soon as the start button is hit and there is no way I can find that will allow us to make it look like a mouseover button. If anyone knows differently, please correct me!

Been trying the animation, but still can't get it to work... I'm starting to think it won't, but I'm still not entirely sure. It might be disabled in the current WB4 beta, so I'm gonna wait for the Official release of WB4 before I try the animation again, but I did get a nice effect from adjusting the content margins, you can barely tell the color is over the pic.

There might be a way: I have been messing with the all proggy menu, trying stuff out, there is an animation section for it, so I made an image with two states. It displays right but I haven't been able to make it animate; could be cause it won't animate, or also could be I don't know how to make it animate. We can also modify the size of the area that is colored on mouseover through the content margin attribute, but if you completely get rid of it the menu won't show up when you mouseover it. Bu

Hey, I just dled melt, that's not an image, just a color, even checked it out in Skinstudio to be sure. The way he set the margins and such makes it look very similar to the image he uses for the panel item. But if you check it out you can see the difference. Man, sure wish WB4 was able to give us an image there, that's always been a sore spot that's hard to deal with. Essorant sure does a good job with it though.

The way I understand it, and the only way I have done it, the "panel item background" will be the image used for any mouseover on the start panel, left and right sides. This image won't work when the mouse is over the "all programs" section, which we can only change the color of. If you have seen skins that have a mouseover for the "all programs" section, post a link to them, cause I have yet to see one, and would love to know how to do it if possible. SO far as I know, You can't put an image over the all programs menu, and the image over the left panel is the same that goes over the right one, but up that pic so I can have a look, I'm not entirely sure I'm right about this.

I think I do, are you talking about the all programs menu? I am trying to get that black in my latest but it is dark blue! If you are looking for the mouseover on the xp start menu, it's a section called "panel item background". Hope that helps
