I think leaving it as GRM is fine as even today it's not races (their factions) so the name doesn't match existing game, I see no reason to change it to Civs .vs. Race. Also Guantlet just wondering about your steam policy about using your ships since players can easily create their own styles from any of the existing ships styles they have and if that is going to change?

Just thinking while playing a game, the enemy had one or two last star bases left (far from my shipyards) and it's such a pain to #1 build a ship and then fly him all the way over destroy the star bases and then have to fly him all the way back... It would be cool if we could develop sort of a kamikaze type ship which you just send over and it slams into the target object causing lots of damage. This would also be good for bombing planets, just to reduce their population.

Being that the game is being released in less than a week I would think we (or I should say you) would let us know how faction conversion is going to work??? Will the game automatically convert existing factions over for us using defaults for the missing parts? Can we specify/change the defaults for missing parts, images,admin portraits, etc Will we need a whole new set of Factions? If yes, how does the game handle switching between

It would be really nice to have some additional sort/filters on the planet side bar list. By Type This would be the best, so I can easily tell how many Barren/Frozen/Aquatic/Radioactive/Toxic worlds I have so I can best choose my tech tree. Ok, when you have lots of ships moving about, I don't like to leave unused moves on my turn, so I go to the ships list and "sort by moves", but then after selecting a ship I have to "re-click" the map to force it to move. Either give me a "global" button (move all remaining moves) or a button no the ship list which will move the current selected ship, without having to "re-click" it's destination....

Just some thoughts on faction creation. WIth those of us who love factions (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) and have 100s of factions, it would be really nice when you bring up Logos to indicate which logos are currenly used by your existing factions. I have over 400 logos and it would be nice with either a click of a button or some type of indicator(border/marker) to indicate which icons are already used. In one of the updates it talks about how the new Tech Tree will be based on Faction Traits. Can we design new Faction Traits? Can we create new techs (assume yes)? Can we map Techs to a faction trait? Be nice on details how this mapping works.

It would be really nice if you displayed the shipname or better yet stats of the ship. Late game when I have 3-6 Colony ships or transports poping out a turn, it would be nice to know which is which. Save me the time of having to re-dock and remove/add population.

It would be a really nice feature that you could set shipyards so that when the complete a ship the ship stays docked rather than auto eject and then have to move it back into the shipyard. I would even be fine if it still cost a movement. It just seems a bit micro management.

Races no longer get a "tech tree". Instead, tech trees are procedurally generated based on the traits of your civilization. Modders should love this as they could just submit a bunch of new techs that have race trait requirements and they'll "just show up". Ok, I can check into that. I was trying to see "how flexible" changing the startingships was/is, and I was not seeing certain ships when generated. I believe the problem is that unless you have the proper tech tree I am not sure it can load a ship from a different tech for starting ships. I am thinking of disabling it. Reloading the page will re-load the default starting ships. Also if you want more of a particular ship you can just add another entry for it.

I have the same problems, though not sure if it's one of the mods I have installed or not. It's funny though even if I jump back to a saved game 10-20 turns before the crash it still seems to crash, though I only tried this twice.

Cool. Yes I could generate a random description for both Leader and Faction, I have some random generators I have created for making sentences, though I guess I would need/like some input of a few, and I can likely go from there.

Ok, I have added the missing Minor Leader images and logo. I have also added an additional minor leader foregrounds so from 1-99 they are all unique. I have also resaved a few of the images, which had "dark" scan lines, I had two different sources files so cleaned them up to the lighter version. Modified the generator script to include new leader foregrounds. I will be making a video on how to use it later today.

Added a text box, so you can customize the default set of Ship blue prints. Also has an option to load all available Blueprints from game, then you can delete/change the ones you want used. Nothing like seeing a minor faction with a ton of starting ships... lol

Thanks! The code is fairly simply, what would be cool is if there was a feature (routine) in the game that did this on the fly each time you ran the game. You would just need a base set of images/logos to work from.
